To wonder where the hell is my shopping and/or money?

pissedrightoff · 11/07/2010 20:17

Last night I checked my bank account online, £105.00 is the balance. Fine, I'll do an online shop at asda to arrive tomorrow.
Total shopping comes to £80.76.

Shopping does not arrive today and when I call to enquire why, I am told that there were insufficent funds in my account.

I then check online balance,£24.24 suggesting that between last night and now £80.76 has been debited.
Phoned bank to make enquiries and indeed Asda have taken the amount and bank gave me the authorisation number.I ask if it is possible that it is a pending payment, bank says no, as it has come off the balance then the payment has went through.

Phone Asda back, not helpful in the slightest, They say that they have not recieved the money, I tell them I have an authorisation code from my bank and an available balance which says otherwise. They say they will look into it and call me back at midday tomorrow.

So I now have only £24,Very little food, live in the back of beyond so no shops, will have to take two buses to a tesco tomorrow to see how far my £24 will stretch for baby food, milk and wipes.

Where is my money if it's not in my bank and Asda say they don't have it????

blimey - compared with a Vulcan, eh ?

Well, I try to be logical, but can admit I am wrong sometimes

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 13/07/2010 16:33

For what it's worth (sorry to bang on about these people) Ocado don't take the money out of your account until they have delivered. It's not fingfenced either (I normally get a delivery first thing on pay day and it's not bounced)

I wouldn't put up with shocking service. I shop on the web to make my life easier, the MS makes my hands numb if I carry heavy bags so the internet helps.

Don't use ASDA, they have no consideration for their customers, it's the £££ that's important to them.

WouldYouLikeSomeTea · 13/07/2010 16:35

Good luck with your delivery PRO. Which flavour kettle chips are you dreaming of?

MisSalLaneous · 13/07/2010 16:36

I'm also disgusted - wanted to say surprised, but no, I'm not - that someone from their PR team hasn't had the guts yet to come back here with a final update as they said they would. How cowardly.

NetworkGuy · 13/07/2010 16:37

I think the posters on MSE need a bit of compassion.

Clearly there will be some who have a comfortable nest egg, and pop in the car to the nearby supermarket for their posh nosh, and their offspring are grown up and live/work away, so the fact PRO was pushed below the minimum needed for an online order, and not knowing she's living in some village an hour away from the store, and has both a baby and lack of transport seems to have bypassed them.

Sorry, PRO, seems like a few didn't spend time reading (perhaps they felt a bit of when they found some perfectly good Anglo-Saxon and other words crept in) to get the full story and made assumptions far too fast.

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 16:38

Wow, how nasty are they on MSE? Am quite sure Martin Lewis would not approve.

Not too worried about 11 month old DD picking up on the swear words I have typed here, whilst beig clever and adorable she can't read.

The father of the baby could indeed help, seeing as we have been married for 4 years and he does indeed live with me and I do indeed feed him.Did'nt purposely leave him out of OP, just did'nt think I needed to mention.

As for being a chav, whilst being decidedly working class, I would never consider myself a chav even though I have previously shopped at ASDA

Lol at the thread on the Money Saving board. Completely missing the point entirely

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 16:40

BEING She can't read and I can't spell, clearly

They are a bunch of jumped up twonks PRO. I bet most of them work in ASDA.

belle - don't think Ocado serve Scotland.

Even if they do, they seem to like placing barriers in front of any chance of a customer experience.

Went to web site. Site detected I have javascript turned off, gives link for use of site without javascript. Click link, and get form to Log In. Hell, I'm only wanting to see if you serve lesser known parts of the UK, like north of Watford, and I cannot even do that Ocado!

Comewhinewithme · 13/07/2010 16:41

Really nasty old twats on MSE .

However the Netmums were lovely .

TellingItStraight · 13/07/2010 16:42

err not live so close to the edge?

ShatnersBassoon · 13/07/2010 16:43

I'm surprised at the MSE lot. I thought they loved any excuse to get outraged, clutch their pearls and adjust their cardies.

caramelwaffle · 13/07/2010 16:44

Fontella - a consumer Rights website that has , er, No Interest in a consumer Rights issue (well, only the twonks on that thread)

Alternatively: what Netwaork Guy said ^

EricNorthmansmistress · 13/07/2010 16:44

Fontella · 13/07/2010 16:44

Pissedrightoff ... would you kindly change your name to slightypeedorf with immediate effect?

BlameItOnTheBogey · 13/07/2010 16:44

caramelwaffle · 13/07/2010 16:45

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 13/07/2010 16:45

EricNorthmansmistress · 13/07/2010 16:46

Comewhinewithme · 13/07/2010 16:46

Errrrrrr Off you fuck.

rupert22 · 13/07/2010 16:47

I have written to the British Retail Consortium and am just writing to the Telegraph business editor now. x

DanJARMouse · 13/07/2010 16:47

I am so at this.

So, suddenly nothing changes but Asda can deliver shopping.

Right, so just the out of pocket expenses and a nice good will gesture needed then.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 13/07/2010 16:48

Can I have a link to the thread please ?(too lazy to look for it)
