Desparately needing a sunblock that does not irritate DS's skin please.

Any ideas. The last one I have tried is called Organic Children, bought online. It was fine last year, but now he is itching on his neck and inside his elbow and has come up in rash again.

Have tried most of the children's sunblocks available from Boots, Tesco's etc all with the same result. He used to suffer from eczema when younger, and though this has gone now these sunblocks all seem to make it come back. We have even gone down to SPF15 with no joy.

Don't know how natural it is, but we use one from Australia called Sunsense toddler milk. (Google it to find a UK stockist) Have used it for last 7 years, seems to last a long time, totally effective and has never irritated either of the girls, both of whom suffer mild eczema.

There have been a few threads like this recently, including 1 I started in a grump about how much I've spent trying to find a suncream that doesn't irritate DS's skin. I'm afraid that they all seem to reach the same conclusion - all skin is different, so what suits one person's sensitive skin could really irritate another's - I see that Simple and Nivea have been recommended above, yet my DS reacts badly to both.
Good luck - I think it comes down to trial and error. We're currently using E45 on DS, and whilst his skin is OK so far I really hate it and find it difficult to wash off.
Sorry if that sounds like a rant!

I have just got my GP to prescribe the E45, and have also bought some Lavera online as back up just in case. I guess it really is trial and error. This can be frustratingly expensive. Funnily enough though - DS only comes up in the rash on his arms, nowhere else - nor sure why?

I hope the E45 works, because then I can just keep getting it on prescription. If you want to try and get it, it's called E45 SUnreflective Sunscreen, and it goes up to factor 30. It is on the list on the National Eczema Society's website of "good ones" less likely to be irritants.

Bergaderm (formerly Proderm) here too. Only one that doesn't irritate. Quite interested in the Lavera spf 40 though.

We have started using the E45 one on DS, who has eczema, and so far he hasn't reacted to it. Hope it works for you too.

Ive just been to dermatology clinic with LO with excema. They recommended sun sense ultra for sensitive skin.

Although LO is fine at the moment with nivea...

Look for one which is "PABA free". It's a common ingredient in sunblock, and a really common irritant too! We have some from Banana Boat, but not all their products are PABA free so check the labels.
