Yeah they're not that sturdy. In the two weeks between panel and start of intros little madam had ripped the hoots out about 30 times apparently.

Or ripped the photos out even.

We did the butterfly album for DD. I still hate the sound of my voice on it. So embarrassing.

We also had to film a DVD of us being a family. It ended in a sing song with DH playing guitar. Horrible!

This series is making me very emotional. It's like reliving the whole process.

candy I just accepted what I was told, but actually 'tranferring' doesn't make logical sense. If a child has a secure attachment to their FC's, then that's a very positive sign because that child has the emotional ability to form these long term secure relationships, but yes, not the same thing as transferring

Glenn and Chris are great Dads

Heartbreaking hearing them talk about Logan. So very sad. And annoying too. Those adoptive parent are great, I am so glad gay couples are being encouraged to adopted. Makes me very angry there are people out there who objected and would perhaps rather those kids stayed in care!

Jack is lovely, all these plans for his new sister. They do look pretty young still.

I can't quite get my head around transferring attachments? I mean you learn to attach, to trust, and then you can reproduce that. You don't just keep transferring the same feelings for people?? Maybe it is the fact that because they trust the foster carer they can trust the people that the foster carer would bring into their life??

Oh he looks so flattered when the presenter said 'you are a natural parent'! Lovely.

I don't think the social worker was very clear that it's the ability to attach that is transferred, rather than the attachment/feelings for a particular person.

MyFeetAreCold you said I assumed they were talking about matching panel rather than approval panel, but I'm only watching with half an eye. Which ones are you talking about, it is matching panel isn't it? Must be because after it they go straight into meeting the girls. I think I am behind everyone else thought, I am at 35 minutes in and everyone else must be at almost 50 minutes in!

I spit feathers every time they mention transferring attachment
They simplify it all and present it as though settling is everything and then all is well
This is IMO a recruitment drive
