Snugly - useful? Introducing our family'smell' and an object to travel from our home to their home and back to ours with them!

I read on a thread somewhere about giving a new child a 'snugly' that smells of your home to keep in their home, perhaps on their bed, so they get used to your smell. DH is suggesting a sleep suit but surely if they start to wear it then it will smell of them and we would be back to square one!

I saw a blanket but it was a bit babyish. I suggested a duvet and cover but the bed at their current home is a toddler one and when they come to us they will have a bigger bed.

Any thoughts, please?

We talked about DDs name before we were marched (but only with close family and friends, DS didn't know until after matching panel). I didn't know I wasn't meant to...!

Anyway, back to the thread. DS chose a soft toy for DD, which he gave her when they first met and she carried everywhere for ages. We didn't sleep with it though

FamiliesShareGerms maybe different counties and areas have different rules! It's hard as panel is pretty much a sure thing but then again nothing is a sure thing! So there is a chance it might not be for real yet! We just stick to the rules! Asked again today if we can say to DD before panel and told again today no. But we have shared lost else with her, about his likes etc which means more to her.
