Off to the States... what shall i buy

I'm thinking cheap must haves

Melatonin and white strips on the list. Im sure DH will beeline for neon shade of fanta!

Anything else?

I was a bit disappointed to find that a lot of the drugstore skincare and makeup is now behind a locked cabinet. Most of it is brands you can get in the U.K. like Cerave but they have products that aren't here yet.

It's very sad that it has devolved to this because some people now think it's okay to steal and that it's NBD. It IS a big deal and very sad that people behave like that.

I don’t know what the secret in Secret deodorant is, but I have bought 5 of them since I’ve been here. It’s fantastic stuff. I’m sweaty, but also sensitive and this stuff is so effective and doesn’t irritate my skin at all.

Secret used to be sold in the uk in the early 2000's. Not sure why they stopped as it was so good

It’s an antiperspirant deodorant which leaves you feeling shower fresh all day long. Amazing stuff. A lovely MNer sent me a couple to try from her stash and I’ve been hooked ever since. Sadly the boyfriend has also realised it’s magic powers, I need a hiding place.

Anything Norrhface.
I buy a few of the amazing variety of cake mixes and frostings back.
Hostess cupcakes.
Jiffy brownie mix (eat raw - hard to find now).
Cheerios - theirs is unsweetened and tastes really oaty.
I'm obviously obsessed with the food. Going over for Xmas can't wait!

I home and heres what i got!

I actually went to the north face outlet in berkley and got fleece/ coat /gloves and jumper. The size range and choice as well as the price was great (not so much of the cheap)

I also got-
Melatonin
Severe cold and flu tablets because we got covid Confused they have both expectorant and suppressant in it.
cheezeits strong white, from Canada
cheezies (these are amazing) from Canada
peanut butter m & ms
Ghiradelli caramel chocolate
Turtles (from canada- this was the port with the supermarket and cheaper than US)
Goldfish sharp cheddar
Velveeta
Various

I had a look at teeth gel and it cheaper from my dentist! And skin care from CVS is now on par in the UK.

Like i say we had three days in SF when we for back which were really chilled exploring and trying not to eat too much as its so expensive and the tip and tax thing just blow my mind a bit. Actually we just did the sensible thing of fill up on the breakfast buffet and have one other meal and then a classic hotel picnic of crisps and coke.

Need to look at the manhood I’ve bottles of paracetamol and ibuprofen next - are they good value compared to our cheapy packs?

That said being serious I usually have ibuprofen + paras when needed and always keep a fresh supply.
Then it's a mix of various vitamins and the main multi vitamins.

We're heading off to the states in a couple of weeks and really want to buy melatonin but do you have to declare these or can you put them in your suitcase?
