I wonder why.....?

Why do these z list celebrites think that anyone is remotely intrested in reading (letting alone buying and queuing up to have it signed by said "celebrity") a book they've written about their experiences of having and rearing a baby? What makes them think that their experiences of something that most women do more than once themselves anyway so fascinating?

I know, bless her cos she's had it rough recently, but I wouldn't have been interested in jools book or hers, even when I was PREGNANT. I think I preferred the what to expect or the internet,,, the eyelashes are forming this week.

I'm a bit weird and I turned my laptop upside down. the name of the woman who wanted her book is ... "tess daly" funny!!

I knew that would be a mail article, only the mail delights in watching women sqirm. There is another article reporting with glee the fact an ex soap actress is working in a shop.

Yes, and every single comment is along the lines of 'well good for her getting a job instead of thinking she's too good to work in a shop'. Women aren't as mean as the DM thinks they are. The evidence is on their own comments boards if they'd read it.

I'm not really singling Tess Daly out in particular here, it's just that this article illustrates my point.

My point is what possesses these people like her and that Julie Oliver (wife of Jamie) to feel the need to publish books like this about their experiences? It's all so bloody self-indulgant - couldn't they just keep a conprehensive journal for their own prsonal reference and for posterity if they're so consumed with it all?

Why do they think we want to share it?

Would anyone be interested in reading my pregnancy, birth and childrearing experiences? In a word, no.

These people are so far up their own arses it beggars belief.

If I thought I could do the same and make a heap of money I would. I am quite a good way up my own arse though.

I just turned on the tv this morning to find Sophie Dahl on Andrew Marr promoting her cooking programme. A cooking programme ffs! She's a model! not a bloody cook.

I cannot BEAR it when the press or media thinks I want to watch a cooking programme not by a cook but by a model. I don't! Like I don't want to read books just because they've been written by bloody Jordan.

I quite like food, does that mean I can have a cooking programme? oh no, I'm not a model...

someone should have explained that ireland is infact a different country with its own z-list celebs.

The problem is she is a very smug woman who wrote a very smug book, full of smugness about her perfect smug life and has just had her comeuppance.

It is very difficult to be sympathetic with her in those circumstances.

riven she is famous for being able to wear frocks, simpering and listening bruce forsyths offensive jokes without pushing him to the ground and kicking him.

Have not read the book so I am prepared to be shouted down but that is rather harsh nancy.

Of course there are problems with babies that are made worse by a lack of money.

But money is not a total barrier to having problems. I was fairly wealthy when I had dd 1 but it was still the darkest period of my life that I would not wish on anyone. Granted it got worse when the financial cushion was taken away. But there are problems money cannot solve.

I would never dream of clicking on one of these links, much less commenting on celebs appearance BUT

Belgo, it was in Dublin, and I think fewer people have heard of her in Dublin. Most people would have, but she's not as famous in Ireland. I'm surprised 30 turned up. I bet they were Easons staff who were told to take off their green shirts, put their own tops on! I used to work in Easons. They would do that!!

i think with jools oliver, myleen et al already having published books about this subject the general public have had their fill of celeb turned experts, it's insulting to all the fully trained real experts out there.
