Serious question - WHY would you pose in your pants (apart from to get some money!!) to show off your "fuller" figure?

I dont know if I am impressed with her confidence or shocked that she thinks we will want to see her overweight body?

Would YOU do it?

She's doing it to promote her DVD

she will do the 'after' shots in a few months

StrawberriesAndCherries · 16/03/2010 12:46

aaaaaahhh light clicks on thick head!!

But she's done it before. How much mileage is their in ballooning and then deflating and then ballooning ....? Loads, obviously.

Ceebee74 · 16/03/2010 12:49

I bought her fitness DVD (it is actually quite good) and there were 'before' shots on the cover so she must have done similar shoots before losing the weight last time.

I have to say, considering she is big, her tummy doesn't actually look that big considering she only gave birth 11 weeks ago - I still looked 6 months pregnant at that stage

But, I do agree - uber-confident I feel because it is one thing posing for those photos to use in a few months time when you have shed all the weight but another thing to actually have them published now!

thedollshouse · 16/03/2010 12:51

No, I wouldn't do it. I think good on her it is refreshing to see a celeb who isn't back to a size 0 within days of giving birth.

TrillianAstra · 16/03/2010 12:52

Why do you dismiss 'apart from to get some money' as if it's not a big factor in why anyone does anything?

BariatricObama · 16/03/2010 12:55

there was a program about her 'battle' with her weight before she got married.

those pictures are airbrushed (just in case anyone is worrying about being a size 18 and not having celluite free smooth tanned legs and tummy)

StrawberriesAndCherries · 16/03/2010 13:12

TA - because the money thing is the obvious reason to pose, I am looking for any other reasons! And the dvd before shots makes sense- i didnt read she was doing one, plus the "I am in no rush to lose it" didnt fit with it.

Oblomov · 16/03/2010 13:23

can't see the problem with it. atleast she honest about it.

StrawberriesAndCherries · 16/03/2010 13:27

Honest in what? She mentions her old dvd at least twice in the article and why strip down to show herself? We all know what a post baby bod is like!!

I think she still looks pretty, people don't have to buy a dvd she brings out anyway.

southeastastra · 16/03/2010 15:41

it's a really unflattering pose - she really does need to stop eating quite so much. she's very young it must be so uncomfortable.

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 15:45

Ah but do we all know what a post baby bod looks like?

I didn't before I had one. Especially a post-cs, post-baby body.

I'm making no comment about this particular lady as I don't know her or her history, but I do think that newspaper you've linked to has a funny history with the bodies of pregnant women or new mothers.

HeadFairy · 16/03/2010 15:48

hahaha, I should buy the dvd, I gave birth 11 weeks ago too, and I'm also 15st (but I'm taller - in your face Richards )

4andnotout · 16/03/2010 15:50

I wish I was a size 18 at 15 stone, I can't squeeze into anything smaller than a 24!

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 15:50

I did like this though as I thought it showed what a post-baby body looks like quite well. Because she's clearly slim and fit, healthy and happy but having twins and your stomach expanding that much doesn't just disappear as if by magic. It leaves traces behind. Looks fab imo.

Lulumaam · 16/03/2010 15:52

she looks fine, obviuoisly a bit heavier than she ought to be and she has been aibrushed, to a degree, but she does not look gross or ugly. more women look like her than some other slebs

and then there was the article about nadine out of girls aloud being too thin

you can't win as a sleb, so if being a bit chunkier nets you some ££ , go for it!

muggglewump · 16/03/2010 15:54

Bloody hell, I'm an 8 and her legs and bum are smoother than mine.
Mine are a lot bit cellulitey

southeastastra · 16/03/2010 16:01

why do the comments say it's normal for a new mum to look like that? not in my world it isn't. she's gluttonous.

SpottyMuldoon · 16/03/2010 16:08

'She needs to stop eating so much' - wow, I think you've just found a cure for obesity. You'll make a fortune!

bronze · 16/03/2010 16:09

4andnot

I was thinking the two dont tally

I'm 5'11 11 and a half stone and size 16. I don't look particulalry big
There is no way those two add up
All credit to her for publishing now rather than after the event. Maybe she sees it as th epush she needs

UnquietDad · 16/03/2010 16:10

I think she looks voluptuous and quite nice, actually.

mosschops30 · 16/03/2010 16:10

I dont think she looks great at all, she doesnt look 'post baby' she looks like she eats cakes all day long.
Sorry but she does.
I put on 4 stone when pg with ds3 and am still 2 stone heavier than I was post pregnancy but I DO NOT look anything like that!

mosschops30 · 16/03/2010 16:11

sorry pre pregnancy

nowherewoman · 16/03/2010 16:12

Who says a thin body is more attractive than a fat one? Who says?
