Is it a sign of my age or I am weird for thinking that these guys actually look more attractive now

than in their heyday, despite what the Daily Mail says.

i think they all look good, dm article just oozes negativity. all of them have been more successful since friends than that article makes out.

sayanything · 21/01/2010 11:33

Yup, that is just a terribly mean-spirited article.

Chandler did nothing for me, but Matthew Perry now...yum. And I loved Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, that was fantastic television and I never understood why it got cancelled.

MmeLindt · 21/01/2010 11:53

I was not a fan of Friends, but I recently discovered Studio 60 and really enjoyed it.

What a horrible, nasty article. Smacks of jealousy to me.

And I still would, but only the 2 Matts' david Schwimmer never did it for me

SerenityNowAKABleh · 21/01/2010 12:11

I think they look alright now. At least the men have aged unlike two of the female stars.

CJCregg · 21/01/2010 12:13

I love, love, love Matthew Perry. There, I've said it. I have an abiding fondness for Friends, which I still enjoy and find is better written than so much else around, and I was devastated when Studio 60 was cancelled. (Matthew Perry also did rather a good stint in the West Wing.)

That is one of the nastiest articles I've read in a long time. Bitchy, mean-spirited and ill-informed. David Schwimmer's done quite a lot of theatre, including over here, and is one of the leads in Madagascar - not bad going!

Grrr.

SixtyFootDoll · 21/01/2010 12:14

I thought it was a mean article too, they all look great to me, esp Matt Le Blanc.

Bobbiewickham · 21/01/2010 12:16

I'd do 'em.

HTH

Hulababy · 21/01/2010 12:24

So the DM is shocked that some famous people have grown older, over a time period of 10 years! Says a lot about the paper really, lol.

They are 10 years older that is all. They all seem fine for their ages to me; none look old or dreadful!

newpup · 21/01/2010 12:51

Ha I was thinking that too. Matt Le Blanc still looks good to me actually I think I prefer him a little rounder and greyer!

Oh God I think that is because I am older!

MmeLindt · 21/01/2010 13:05

Here's a thing.

We still find them attractive.

If they were the female stars we woul berate them for letting themselves go.

Why is that? And do we apply rhe same standards to ourselves and our DHs?

OP posts:
Bobbiewickham · 21/01/2010 13:10

I wouldn't.

I love it when female stars start to look older, especially when they embrace it.

It's when they go down the botox and facelift route I go off 'em.

TwoIfBySea · 21/01/2010 13:28

But as they have gotten older so have we and so our tastes might have moved with the times too. I think they are all still handsome, I hope Joey doesn't dye his hair as there is something about grey hair in certain men that is just lush!

And are the women staying younger looking but also "tighter" in the face due to snippity snips?

SerenityNowAKABleh · 21/01/2010 13:51

I think the DM might be shocked, as so many "celebrities" do not age these days.

I was wondering about tastes changing as we get older. When I was 17, I thought 17 year old boys were HOT. I don't any more, so when I'm 70, will I think 70 year old men look HOT? (I don't now).

MmeLindt · 21/01/2010 14:36

Serenity
That would explain why my mum still fancies Cliff Richard

OP posts:
posieparker · 21/01/2010 14:37

Is there ever anything worth reading in the DM?

posieparker · 21/01/2010 14:38

PS 17 again is a blardy brilliant film....I've seen it far too many three times!

SerenityNowAKABleh · 21/01/2010 15:19

No MmeLindt. I don't think there's any way of explaining why anyone would fancy Cliff Richard. None. (apart from maybe his special priest "friend").

Saltire · 21/01/2010 15:22

I didn't actually read the whole article there was a bit half way down about Jennifer Aniston getting back with the sex god that is Gerry Butler and read that instead

Cyb · 21/01/2010 18:04

I've never found Chandler attractive (Altho personality wise, my dh is most like him, crossed with the nerdiness of Ross)

All of them would look more attractive with MORE salt and Pepper in their hair

And if you look at matt Le Blanc throughout friends, he's never been slim really

MaggieNilAonSneachta · 21/01/2010 18:10

yes, matt le blanc is lovely. NOW. (and before, but the gray hair and the extra pounds don't make him unattractive.) just not poster boy. he won't be marketing aftershave to the gay market now, but i'd still 'ave 'im.

MaggieNilAonSneachta · 21/01/2010 18:13

serenity, that happens for women, but not for men

SerenityNowAKABleh · 21/01/2010 20:51

Men, and my (female) manager (regularly perves over men the same age as her son. Gross).

NomDePlume · 21/01/2010 20:55

Isn't David Schwimmer doing stuff on the other side of tghe camera now - directing stuff ?

'tis a bollox 'article' from a bollox rag of a paper.
