Is it a sign of my age or I am weird for thinking that these guys actually look more attractive now

than in their heyday, despite what the Daily Mail says.

Serenity I was wondering that just the other day.

I was walking past a group of teenagers, and just thought "I would have snogged people like that 15 years ago - eugh!"

But I don't fancy 60 year olds now, but presumably I will then? Weird to think of.

Maybe I'll ask my Mum. SHe likes Daniel Craig though so maybe not.

And is it really fair that all the before pictures were all airbrushed studio shots rather than being taken outside without the magic of a good photoshopping.

HollyGoHeavily · 22/01/2010 07:48

That is such a mean spirited article - they don't look like they are 20 anymore, aren't starring in massive hit movies and aren't married - therefore they should be ridiculed and pitied. Appaling.

I suspect they will be comforted by their Friends millions....

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 22/01/2010 07:55

I was watching Mamma Mia the other day and found myself fancying Colin Frith more than Dominic Cooper. I think all the male friends stars look fine and I am a bit that the daily mail have compared photoshopped publicity shots with paparazzi photos, no-one will look good if you do that....

MrsCadwallader · 22/01/2010 07:59

They are also overlooking the fact that none ofthem actually have to work ever again, following friends. It's perfectly possible that they are choosing a lower profile life after 10 years a tabloid fodder.

And yeah, I much prefer 'real' men with a bit of grey, slightly scuffed around the edges and not too hung up on looking cool

MrsCadwallader · 22/01/2010 08:00

after 10 years as tabloid fodder.

squeaver · 22/01/2010 08:08

If I'd made the money they all made, I wouldn't work again either.

It was a shame about Studio 60, though, Matthew Perry was brilliant in that.

CommonNortherner · 22/01/2010 08:34

I think David Schwimmer has matured very nicely!! Never fancied him in Friends but now...

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune: When I watch Mamma Mia I find myself fancying Stellan Skarsgard more than the others!!

CJCregg · 22/01/2010 09:15

I think Colin Firth will always be up there, for women of many ages - he's this generation's Robert Redford!

If I was a teenager now I would definitely go for Dominic Cooper rather than Robert Pattinson - what is all that about? Or am I missing something huge?

bibbitybobbityhat · 22/01/2010 09:26

And posters on this very forum wondered why some of us wanted to have no affiliation whatsoever with that heap of shoite.

It is truly not fit for lining the cat litter tray.

"Only Jennifer Aniston hasn't aged"

erm, wtf, in 10 years, really?

UnquietDad · 22/01/2010 11:08

Cox has turned into a right milf. I would. Never got why people fancied Aniston more.

MmeLindt · 22/01/2010 11:13

UD
Wash your mouth out with soap. MILF is such a horrible term.

Would a woman use a term such as DILF?

GetOrfMoiLand · 22/01/2010 11:14

They all look far better now that they did then, especially Matt le Blanc, who i never found attractive.

I find men in their forties and fifties far more attractive in general than younger chaps anyway.

Yes David Scwimmer is a pretty successful director, he directed Run Fat Boy Run for example. And to be honest with all those $$$ in the bank why would they need to work.

Alwasy thoight Courteney Cox was a beauty, apart from the middle series of Friends when she was far too skinny.

GetOrfMoiLand · 22/01/2010 11:15

UQD - MILF - really?

Where do you think you are - fhm.com?

thedollshouse · 22/01/2010 11:18

Of course they look older, Friends started 15 years ago. If you compare a photo of me 15 years ago I look younger than I do now. Human beings are designed to age. Are the Daily Mail not even aware of the most basic principles of human biology?

MmeLindt · 22/01/2010 11:19

Thinking about it, DILF makes me come over all icky.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 22/01/2010 13:12

Dollshouse - no, they don't seem to be. They once had an article all about how members of the Royal family resemble each other (like Beatrice looks a bit like Fergie! Princess Michael's son looks a bit like her!). they don't get genetics, aging, nothing really.

UnquietDad · 22/01/2010 14:56

Come on, there is regular Friday night salivating from you lot over the likes of Depp and Pattinson, where people say far worse things than MILF!!

UnquietDad · 23/01/2010 00:20

I take it there was no answer to that.

MmeLindt · 23/01/2010 09:20

Oh, there is always an answer UD, you should know that by now.

Tbh, I don't know what it is that bothers me so mich about the word milf, perhaps it is the combination of mother and fuck. Motherfucking is another one that makes me shudder.

Milf. I think it is the fact that it reduces the woman from a human being to a mother and a sex object.

MN brings out my inner feminist.
