i did send a dragonfly to my friends, if i dont get one back im going to sulk!!! I actually planted red fecking wheat everywhere today because it takes three days and i want to avoid FV, but what if i miss out on the collectables?? Oh God!!!

On a plus note, i have just installed my Villa, bought with my first FV millions.

The seeds for haiti thing looks good - i always swore i would never spend money on FV, but that could sway me, although i wonder if its better just to donate via DEC

I scrolled down to just above the "offers" (for free WLP) and click on the paypal logo at there then just proceeded as normal.....

maybe it's because you selected paypal. I don't have paypal so have to use a credit card

never mind - I am a complete and utter twit!!

oh now who's the arse on the thread me - just deleted 5 "needlepoints" that I got sent as gifts as they were only worth 5 coins..................

and just realised they're the collectables you can only get via the gifts

Yeah I did that with a dragonfly lat night, I thought you only needed one of each thing.
Just going on to FB now

but where do they GO? the collectables, i want to be able to look at them and stroke them

you know where the ribbons thing is - click on there and it's collectables - you don't actually "see" them - but according to the Zynga forums when you've got the full collection (you can have 10 collectionis of each type at once) you can trade them in for 5 fuel (irrc), 250xp or think it's 2500 coins.

Best thing is you can keep ON collecting even once you've traded in a collection

another tit here...I didn't want to waste precious space on FV with a statue...so I sold the crunchie award for 100 coins (without placing it on the farm, so I assume I didn't get all those xp points!)

not been on for a while, in between two houses (my real name is not Elaine!! ) so broadband is crap and it's taking an age to do anything on FV.

Just reading the last few posts but I'm still confused....when I went into the gift box and 'used' another dragonfly thinking I could have more than one it didn't clock it up. Still only had one so I sold it. Did the same with a needlepoint. What am I missing or doing wrong anyone know?

DS has just sent gifts to 20 random FB friends (probably mostly requests?? as they are mostly people who don't play games!)

SP..have you checked in your collectables folder, not just in your gift box?

Just had a friend post (on FV) that she found some kitchen kitsch salt shakers....
Clicked on it, and it was one of the collectables! So cool! Doesn't take much to amuse me you can tell..

Scardypants, I understood that you could have 6 of each collectable...so are they not appearing in your collection when you accept them?
I'm going to go and accept some of my gifts now to see what the craic is...

the 1/6 that pops up means that you've got one of that set (even if you've got 10 of it it's only one of the set you need)

Yes Scardypants...I just accepted 6 dragonflies and each time, the little pop up said 'you have 2/6 of the bugs collection'.
Once I'd accepted them all, I clicked into the collectables and I have 6 dragonflies in my collection, and two caterpillars (that I picked up when ploughing earlier) so that's the 2 species I have out of the 6 you can collect. Looks like you can have an unlimited amount of each though. Not sure of the benefit of having so many ... maybe that will become clearer as time goes on....

Yes, you can have up to 10 of each item in the collection - once I'd got 10 dragonflies, I wasn't allowed to accept any more so sold the rest for a measly 5 coins each. I'm not quite sure either what the advantage is of having so many, though...

I also broke my unwritten rule of not using real money on FV, and bought 25 XP so I could sow white corn - but seeing as it's for a good cause and all that...

OMG - I got up at 8.30am this morning and discovered we had no internet - I have only JUST managed to get back online - seems they had issues in our area - I've lost a field of blackberries I planted last night and got NOTHING done on my zoo or farm today >>
