Why do you get sportsmen with female pop totty and not vice-versa?

But you never get top sportswomen going out with vacuous male pop totty.

I can't imagine Paula Radcliffe stepping out with Enrique Iglesias.

Or Kelly Holmes with Justin Timberlake.

Why is this?

I think a lot of it is about money - it seems to be much harder for top female sportswomen to get advertsiing revenue (for example) than top sportsmen

If you're rich you can attract the totty

Top models (rich) attract top male pop totty

eg. Heidi Klum and Seal

I don't think it's because sportswomen are not AlphaFemales, I tihnk it is more because sportswomen don't need the pop totty hanging on their arm as an extra accessory like the sportsmen might.

Or maybe male pop stars don't go for the athletic look and prefer their women softer?

Actually, I've just had a thought.

Maybe it's a probability thing. There are more sportsmen than women out there. There are also (maybe) more female pop stars? And most men (might) in general prefer more feminine womne, while most women (might) prefer muscly toned men?

Generalisations I know, but maybe that's the reason.

Money attracts money, of course, so you get couples who seem evenly-matched in the earning stakes like "Brangelina" (yuk) and the Beckhams.

You can imagine a millionaire falling for a poor-but-beautiful woman. Someone like a waitress or a secretary. Hard to imagine a rich, successful businesswoman going for a good-looking bloke with no earning power though.

(Who was that actress who threw over her actor boyfriend recently because he wasn't having a successful enough career compared with her? I was at that.)
