Tn0g · 11/02/2009 16:07

Sorry about your aunt, Sparkles.

I've been watching Sky news the last few nights and the flooding in parts is bad over there isn't it?

Hope you'll be ok, Sparks.

Nearly broke my neck on the walk.

Dog needs not to stop dead infront of me when I'm not looking, plus I need to learn how to walk in MBT's [stupid bloody things]

At the moment I kind of rock and roll with a bit of a wibble - not a good look.

sparklesandwine · 11/02/2009 16:15

thanks t

what are MBT's?

wotzy · 11/02/2009 18:02

My Big Trainers?
Muddy Big Tent?
Moody Borrowed Trenchcoat?
Mighty Big Tights?

mummylin2495 · 11/02/2009 18:14

hello.sorry to hear about your aunt sparkles.i think tnog was wearing some mighty big trousers !!! hope you enjoyed your walk today ,bet it was cold ! waiting for a takeaway as they phoned last night to say they have now reopened after their new year holiday break. Anyway didnt get home till gone 5 today so cant be bothered to cook ,need to go over dd,s tonight to help her with a computer problem.

sparklesandwine · 11/02/2009 18:18

water is still rising

i have been out in my wellies and retrived dc's garden toys to higher ground and moved all electrical and petrol based stuff into the garage

hope its ok

neighbour said it has been higher than this before without coming into the houses

hope its ok this time too

mummylin2495 · 11/02/2009 18:24

is this the first time it has happened since you have been in that house sparkles ?

sparklesandwine · 11/02/2009 18:42

yes M it is

my neighbour said not to worry, she's lived here for 20 odd years so i think i will.....

Tn0g · 11/02/2009 18:50

Sparkles, I hope the water level is staying low.

We're lucky we're up a bit of a hill but down in the nearest town there's a river that floods every now and again, all the people living next to it have to bail out.

It must be horrendous.

lololo at my big trainers and trousers.

You know what MBT's are....those fugly weirdly shaped runners [trainers] that are supposed to correct your curving spine and make you walk like a Masei warrior strolling through the desert

Well they bloody don't.

You hobble and walk like Dick Emery.

My back's killing me and I feel sea-sick from all the rocking.

mummylin2495 · 11/02/2009 20:02

ooh you are awful!!!!

dick emery used to be my grans favourite comic. are you walking like john wayne now then ? you are supposed to walk the dog ,not ride it like a horse!!

Tn0g · 12/02/2009 10:37
  • M >

I'm just hopping on and hopping off for five minutes [this thread, not the dog] before work and before everything else I've to do takes over for the day.

Blokey, hope you're ok.

CC, did you manage to find anything on-line for dh?

Sparkles, are you managing to keep your head above water?

Wotz, G wants to see Slumdog too, it wouldn't be suitable though, would it?

Talcy, miss chatting with you.Hope all's well your end [shines torch up back passage]

That's everyone isn't it?

I haven't forgotten anyone.. only my brain is totally shot.

I switched on the TV last night and sat there for 10 minutes getting really irate because we had no sound.

G walked in and asked, what was up?...the TV has no sound, it's on the blink, I told him.

'Give me the remote control for a sec'

G presses volume control and, hey presto, we have sound!

Apparently I had the volume turned off..........

mummylin2495 · 12/02/2009 14:18

as the wid woman from the south, mounts her collie dog the crown roar with excitement !!!!

mummylin2495 · 12/02/2009 14:23

Oh no ,it looks like tnog has been dismounted and the collie is racing ahead to the finish line without her!

sparklesandwine · 12/02/2009 14:51

your knowledge of modern technology is outstanding tnog

water is very near the house now but still ok, woke up this morning and it has frozen so looks like a big skating lake

it is now snowing

what will tomorrow bring???

my mum is here now so may not be on too much for a few days

ABloke · 12/02/2009 16:29

bla bla bla bla bla

Big SNOW, drove in it

Talked with wife

she is sorry, she said I have to stop picking on her, she is trying her best.

Ummmm okay

I have been totally freaked out this week.

2 words. 4/5 little creatures on dc head.

HEAD LICE.

[scream emoticon]

So anyway, lots of ointments, lots of washing, no more creatures.

1 animal is very much in heat, she walks around putting her bottom in the air...

I have to keep T off her.

Me: T will you get off her for goodness sake

Little animal: runs in front of T with bottom in air (almost saying - come and get me)

Me: stop that you little tart!

yes, very good.

I have been having fun with OW this week. Her name starts with P. I called her P the PITA! In front of her.

Must engage brain before speaking in future.

Someone had marmite crisp breads, he was ofering them around, I said "Oh just like you X you either love em or you hate em!!!!

Must engage brain before etc etc.....

Glad you are all okay.

Sorry about your Aunt Sparkles.

Only skimmed as I have you all minimised.

OP posts:
wotzy · 12/02/2009 16:58

Slumdog
umm
Not very bloody, but sometimes disturbing. Quite a few deaths violent in parts. I would say no for G (sorry G). I think it is a 15 cert. I don't think suitable for 12 year olds or under even in your own home.

Must dash and catch up with you all later. FIL very ill, needs an op ASAP. Fingers crossed. Loggin off for a bit.

Tn0g · 12/02/2009 17:38

Hope your FIL will be ok, Wotzy.

I'm sending lots of positives vibes.

Thanks for the advice regarding filum.

G'll be stomping all over the place when I tell him, that despite grandad saying it would be grand [I knew it probably wouldn't be]it's not suitable...and if he has an issue with that I'll refer him to you Wotzy.

Blokey, I'm laughing my head off at the marmite metaphor, and the cat thing.

Headlice don't like Tea tree oil, have you ever tried that?

I know they've gone but you don't want them coming back.

G had headlice about 2/3 years ago, but none since thank God.

I have a good old rummage through his hair every now and again....like a monkey.

Tn0g · 12/02/2009 17:40

Oh and Sparkles, hope you have a lovely time with your mother.

She can help with the bailing out if you get flooded.

Seriously though..I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you don't get flooded.

mummylin2495 · 12/02/2009 21:02

damn i have missed you all again ! wotz hoping your fil soon returns to better health.sparkles batten down the hatches ,cause when the new snow melts you will have more water ! Tnog hope you have had a good day today,i am going into one of my craft moods, when i get involved in doing something ,i then have to plod on,i have started a new blanket for one of my gd,s today so will go and do some more of that in a minute.Catch up with you soon x

Tn0g · 12/02/2009 21:42

M, the blanket is such a lovely thing to make, a possible family heirloom.

Imagine in many years to come your great, great grandchild snuggling under the blanket and thinking of you.
