glad to see we still have a home to post in ! sems to be a lot of quite unhappy people at the moment.Wish i was a fairt godmother ,then i would just wave my wand for you all. But alas i am only a poor little scullery maid !sparkles i am still drying washing from yesterday.Pouring with rain here so no chance of drying it outside

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 12:13

fairt=fairy

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 12:18

abloke,i would think after all the years of your wife drinking and empty promises being made ,its not going to change now.You have to decide if this is the life you want .If its not then only you and your wife can decide this big decision.Cant live with her, or cant live without her in spite of the problems.Which is going to be better for you and your daughters ?

wotzy · 09/02/2009 12:27

Abloke - ml put it so well
so I think I'd agree with what ml said.

I sometimes think marriages should be like car leases, or house rentals. Under review every so often and then take a step back, so if it still works well, or change the model or go up a size, or down depending on your preference!

That sounds so sexist!!!!!

wotzy · 09/02/2009 12:30

Anyway I think if I were to do it all over again I would do things differently. I think anyone who says otherwise is is a loon... and should not be trusted.

Dh is getting rather fed up with all the bland food I'm cooking while my mums here (she has a sensitive digestive system). I am treating him to a curry on Friday and she is going to babysit.

wotzy · 09/02/2009 12:34

How on earth can you have 12 loads - I think that's easy with a large family:

Bed linen x 2 loads (easy maybe more if a child is poorly or stinky or hormonal - yes just wait Tnog......)
Towels, and tea towels x 1 (or 2?)
School stuff and PE things x 2
Whites x 2
Darks x 2
Coloured (one x pink, reds and one x blue greens) x 2

Machine is on now as we speak.

wotzy · 09/02/2009 12:35

I smell of persil non-bio

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 12:36

oh wotz i wish i could have a takeaway curry, but our local chinese shop is closed for their new year holiday.God knows how long its for as its getting on for three weeks now.I know there are a lot of chinese living here that go home to china at this time ,so maybe thats why ours is still closed, but you know how it is ,if you cant have something ,you want it all the more !

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 12:38

and my kitchen smells of conditioner,i have one more load to dry after the one thats on ,then i may even do the ironing so i will be up to date ,i only did the ironing from 2 weeks ago yesterday,i hate it,the worst chore ever.

wotzy · 09/02/2009 12:45

This is why you should not cross at rail crossings and also teach children to wait for the green man on roads....Adults should not take risks as children follow their lead.

This footage is so scary. Sorry but had to post, just got the link from google homepage in News. ww.telegraph.co.uk/news Fears-over-level-crossings-as-numbers-ignoring-warnings-soar

Should I post, shouldn't I
O bollocks I've done it,./.......'/jjkhaa bvacakjdfqwyfqiwhzmb cjahcac b j hoyowqiilcl`` ,m ,b`b

sparklesandwine · 09/02/2009 12:49

yes wotz tis very easy

2 x towels
1 x pinks
2 x jeans
2 x whites
1 x darks
1 x blues
2 x baby things (i find it easier to wash all her stuff together)
1 x boys coats as they fell over this morning

I haven't even started on the fecking bedding

its just so depressing....i remember when there was more to life than this....

sparklesandwine · 09/02/2009 12:52

bloody hell that was a bit close

i've never done anything like that

thank goodness i'm sensible.....

sparklesandwine · 09/02/2009 12:53
mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:01

the player thing dosent seem to be loading for me wotz ,but i read the text about it.Isnt it awful how some people can put their lives at risk .Does it really matter if they have to wait a few minutes till the gates reopen and they can cross safely!

sparklesandwine · 09/02/2009 13:03

thats the thing though M no one has patience anymore everyone is in too much of a hurry to pay attention

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:07

its loaded now but says video is currently un available to watch.

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:09

yes your right sparkles. There is a saying that goes " better to get there late ,than not get there at all " and i fully agree with that, everyone is always rushing about ,but i for one would rather be late than dead !

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:12

we very often see drivers overtaking at the rate of knots ,only to find they are only one car ahead.what ever is the point of this.I get annoyed with dh sometimes as if there is a car driving at speed to overtake dh will then go faster to keep up with him,its ridiculous and we often have words about it.

sparklesandwine · 09/02/2009 13:22

when we were driving back from my sisters last night the weather was really quite bad with the snow/slush on the roads and there were some real idiots on the road taking risks, fine if they are the only car on the road but they aren't they just endanger everyone else

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:25

there are always going to be idiots sparkles.but its usually the innocent who then suffer at their hands. You would think that because the roads have been so bad, they could slow down ,very selfish IMO

mummylin2495 · 09/02/2009 13:26

off to take drying out and do the next lot !

wotzy · 09/02/2009 13:40

Never mind ml, it'd put the wind up you anyway.
It was a close thing, a man in a suit went over the barrier and cleared the crossing. A young wearing a trackie and hoody followed close behind, and didn't look to see if it was clear, he went over the track and the train went past at high speed, he was so close it clipped his trainer off and he made it by a whisker. Probably shat himself too.
