Oh yes, M. wear long johns and thick socks.

i can't eat crumpets, sparkles, they makeme retch.

The texture's too rubbery or something.

I LOVE LISTS TOO>

I never actually consult them though I just leave them on the kitchen table in a big pile.

mummylin2495 · 04/02/2009 10:00

i have one of those shopping/to-do list pad things from organised mum

its very sad really but i love it

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:01

Just be a slow driver Sparkles, you'll still get from A to B.

You'll love the freedom that driving gives you when you do pass.

mummylin2495 · 04/02/2009 10:03

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:04

yes i know what you mean t

dp went shopping and bought loads of crumpets (he bought other things too) they were probably bogof's

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:04

I'm a shocking driver.

Fortunately I live in Ireland...land of the erratic, lunatic driver.

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:05

i shall be thinking of you today M x

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:05

Good luck, M.

Will be thinking of you and hopefully catch you later at some point.

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:08

It's funny, S, but dh is a far better food shopper than I am.

he goes with a list and sticks to it, no sampling a new brand of butter or buying a speciality bread for the hell of it.

he's really really careful with money and works out whether something is a genuine bargain or not.

IT DRIVES ME NUTS...I just shovel anything and evrything into the trolley i'm an ad man's dream come true.

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:08

my mum learnt to drive in cyprus 30 odd years ago and she still drives like she's over there

she's very erratic

in more ways than one....

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:09

your dh and mine sound very similar in that respect t

...as do we

dp hates shopping with me

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:10

I think the Cypriots and the Irish may have a lot in common.

i drove once in england and I felt really really stressed and pushed, kept getting beeped and flashed.

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:12

lolo yes, i think they do sound similar.

I can't shop with dh.

I try to ditch him as soon as we hit the shop floor and if i spot him down an aisle I do a body swerve

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:14

someone flashed their norks at you

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:16

dp is very anal when it comes to shopping it drives me mad

he has a set routine for shopping which isles he goes down first etc, me i just get sidetracked by packaging and follow no path whatsoever as soon as i see something sparkly and shiney i'm off

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:18

Ha!

I wish.

no, they drive up behind you and flash you out of the way, cheeky feckers.

I remember my sil driving over here and she bipped a car because she thought they were going to drive out in front of her.

The other driver bipped his horn and she bipped back, she couldn't understand why they kept bipping, but here you only bip to say hello to other cars and so they were just being friendly.

Tn0g · 04/02/2009 10:19

YES, dh does that

It's just weird.

He has a set pattern and doesn't stray.

sparklesandwine · 04/02/2009 10:20

lol i shall keep that in mind for when we visit ireland

we plan to come camping at some point

maybe in your field with dunkey
