Tn0g · 03/02/2009 16:16

you're damn right M.

I know Sparkles, I don't think I could look at my parents lying cold in a coffin I'd want to shake them back to life.

mummylin2495 · 03/02/2009 16:16

My dh refuses to see anyone dead, its down to personal choice sparkles, there is nothing to be afraid of though.I have always been to the chapel of rest to see family members to say my last goodbye to them .I think if i didnt go somehow they would know !

hopefully i'll be ok to carry on for a few more months

Tn0g · 03/02/2009 16:19

When my mother was a girl her and a few friends would go to the wakes of people they didn't even know.

They thought it was great craic looking at all the dead people and giving them marks out of ten on how well they looked in the coffin.

mummylin2495 · 03/02/2009 16:19

a lot depends on what they have died of,if they have been ill with a serious ilness that caused them pain ,for a while you have seen them like that and that will be your lasting memory, when they have died, very often they look free from the pain they have been enduring ,as i said its down to your own personal choice .wild horses wouldnt drag my dh to see anyone .

You sound like you're doing a great job with the feeding, S.

sparklesandwine · 03/02/2009 16:21

our old house was full of presense of the people who lived there, was quite spooky sometimes

we didn't think we'd have anything here as the house is new (well 60's) but since we've been doing work to the house dp and i both seen hings on different occasions

mummylin2495 · 03/02/2009 16:21

i think i would like to see a ghost [ i only think] but it would have to be a nice one ,preferably with a tragic story from the 1800,s or something ,with a romantic twist to the story !Of couse if i did see one i might just faint

OP posts:
sparklesandwine · 03/02/2009 16:23

Tn0g · 03/02/2009 16:23

I remember having mastitis and feeling like i couldn't go on but i'm glad, like you, that i managed to.

I sometimes think about G and his night feeds, very, very special memories

i'm always seeing 'someone' walk past the dining room window outside but no one is ever there...

dp sees a person standing across the road from our house, he's often slammed on the brakes when he's been reversing out because he saw someone standing there but when he's looked again there's no one there

we live in an old village

Tn0g · 03/02/2009 16:27
