phillip Schofield was a patronising Tw@T on that interview and should be severely admonished

for his revolting belittling tone

Kerry is a grown woman regardless of her 'failings' and by rights should be spoken to as such

i keep watching this part of the clip

patronising toss scroll through to 7.06 for full on patronising by Phillip

its niot just mental health problems though is it? Dh's dad had type 1 diabetes and people would step oiver him the street because they thought he was drunk if he was having an episode

expatinscotland · 24/10/2008 11:29

I thought he handled it well, too.

whooosh · 24/10/2008 11:36

I thought they handled it very well. You can just imagine the yelling they were getting down their earpieces....The twat husband should never allowed her to appear.

LouMacca · 24/10/2008 12:31

Another one was who thinks Phillip Schofield handled it well. Kerry and her husband are a pair of non-entities who deserve each other.

postLady · 24/10/2008 12:38

sorry i disagree - she was a nightmare and phil and fern must have been annoyed she turned up in such a state regardless of who is responsible for her. she gets paid for these interviews afterall.

postLady · 24/10/2008 12:39

disagree with the op!

idobelieveinghosts · 24/10/2008 12:46

tempted to watch a slice of her new series just to see her reaction to all this!

going mad aren't i!?!

Hulababy · 24/10/2008 12:46

I think it was handled well by Phillip and Fern.

I think the person to really blame is her husband and/oror agent who allowed her to appear whilst in this state, regardless of reason.

Eunicewonderstuff · 24/10/2008 12:47

Her dh is just pissed off because he sees his cashpoint wife being milked dry and him being blamed for it.

He'd hate for his wife not to work wouldn't he?

I feel very sorry for her, she is ill.

BabyBaby123 · 24/10/2008 12:55

i'm sorry but i don't believe for a minute that her behaviour was caused by her mediciation only - if that was the case then surely someone (her husband maybe?) would have called in and said ahead of them arriving or she would have mentioned it at the start of the interview. Her defensive response (imo) proved she was on something else - she was mightly pissed off that they had dared to mention it - but they had every right to - if they hadn't people would have had something to say about that too. She admitted drinking on holiday which was very recent - surely she was on the medication then too? Hasn't she always been on that medication if it's for her bi polar? and i've never heard her speak like that. She sounded just like/looked like Caroline Aherne from the Royle family!

ColumboPumpkinCarver · 24/10/2008 13:08

She always sounds like that, just not so slurred. Taking your medication later than usual and having to get up earlier than usual would account for it. Chlorpromazine is referred to as "the liquid cosh" it is heavily sedating. I've worked with people on such medication and can honestly say that her behaviour was entirely consistant with being on 150mg of chlorpromazine. It is nasty, nasty stuff.

Perhaps her husband wasn't bothered and just wanted her to go on air? Maybe she hadn't talked much all morning? Plenty of explanations...and I don't even like the girl

idobelieveinghosts · 24/10/2008 13:12

Yes...but she did look generally suprised when Phillip mentioned the slurred speech didn't she...if it was medication then surely she would of said...'oh yeah that..it's my medication'..instead of saying is it? and being shocked and puzzled by it for a few seconds?

GylesBandwidth · 24/10/2008 13:14

Agree with Eunice.
It's sad that KK does not have any trustworthy people around her, who are concerned for her well-being as opposed to her bank balance.

filz · 24/10/2008 13:14

isnt Caroline Aherne bipolar aswell?

childrenofthecornsilk · 24/10/2008 13:15

I think Phil handled it well - better than Fern. He seemed genuinely concerned. However I also think one of them should have stopped the interview for obvious health reasons.

TskullsScreaming · 24/10/2008 13:18

I think he did ok really. He had to say something, they were getting phonecalls about it.

Maybe they should have cut it short though.

I cringed at the pious justification of it all the next day though when they wheeled in the cuddly 'concerned' agony auntie woman to add her twopenneth. That got sickly and patronising.

Phil did make a good point about her husband being remiss about not doing more to prevent her going on tv like that.

theSuburbanDryad · 24/10/2008 13:19

I reckon Fruity from Carter USM needs to get involved.

smartiejake · 24/10/2008 13:20

Apparently she was very late for the interview and only just made it in time so there was no time to really see the way she was behaving before she went on air. If she had a arrived on time I don't think she would have been allowed to appear.

AbbaFan · 24/10/2008 13:27

I think Phil handled it really well too. How could they not have said anything. It would of just been odd if they had pretended everything was wonderful.

The husband is such a idiot - mind you so is Kerry. It wouldn't surprised me if they planned it this way for the publisity.

Eunicewonderstuff · 24/10/2008 13:35

I would imagine there were a few producers in the gallery laughing with glee at this scoop and anticipating all the headlines/youtube references/extra advertising for them.

I bet a few of them are celebrating tonight when they clock off

He sounds charming.

amess · 24/10/2008 14:25

making money was why she was on and those who are her helpers/friends shouldn't have let her go on Phil and Fern were fine in the circumstances. Can't stand all these celebs who make loads of money for doing nothing.
