Tn0g · 25/10/2008 20:49
Tn0g · 25/10/2008 20:49

Yes!

they could put on a puppet show

Oh, how we'd laugh

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 20:50

owch!

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 20:51

What a picture
of how grown men could entertain us on a Saturday night, pulling strings and making silly voices.

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 20:53

That was longer than 5 minutes
time is up BEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Go plump some cushions

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 20:54

Saturday nights used to be filled with the excitement of going out into town, having a laugh, chips on the way home

would like to go back to that sometimes

free of all responsibilities

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 20:56

Yes

now the highlight of saturday nights is plumping my cushions that G has piled into the corner of the living room so he can launch himself off the sofa and have a soft landing

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 20:56

Yes and you'd always get a shag.
It's not the same anymore, things appear to be more routine, but infact that is a lie, life is more chaotic.

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 20:59

and my dcs melt mars bars in the mircowave, who'd have thought I would ever have to cope with that.

We used to take all the cushiosn off the settee when mum was working (in hols about 12ish) and see how many we could balance on before falling off. We used to get our mattresses and slide on them down the stairs too.

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:01

lol

well, you might have been guaranteed a shag...you harlot.

Life is more chaotic and stressful, never known stress like it sometimes and scary.

I find parenting very scary...the responsibility hits me and floors me sometimes.

It's more fulfilling than a life without children, but once you have them you're life is on hold...I feel/think

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:02

Oh I did the mattress thingToo!

Fantastic fun

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:03

We made a den in the loft and the paster in mums bedroom fell down when we were dancing. My sister tried to hoover big lumps up! Mum had to have it re-plastered and had to sleep in my sisters room for a few weeks, she had to share with me. One of my firends who was with us during the dancing, well her dad was a plasterer and did it for free. This was after dad died, we went a bit mad.

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:05

God, you were wild

it must have been very difficult and devastating for you all when your dad died

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:05

Good times, fun times
children should have fun....I love the idea that G jumps on the cushions. Wish mine would be wilder at times, maybe that will happen when they are teens.

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:06

my brother spent his whole time putting my head down the loo

I used to tell him he was adopted

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:09

G is very innocent I think, you know compared to some of his friends, not so street-wise or wordly.

Perhaps not having siblings
keeps him that way, I don't know.

I worry about him not having siblings.

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:10

Yes, but at the time you don't realise. You iust assume you get on with it. My friends were great. I can say that they treated me just the same, which was brilliant. Children cope so much better than we give them credit for. My mum was brilliant and then there is that thing that happend with sis almost a year ago. Little lies turn to bigger lies. dcs want to go and visit. I need to get Xmas over and sort it all out, once and for all. No need to comment on that.

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:12

Dh is an only child, he watches dcs and thinks he had a lucky escape.

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:12

I understand, Wotz.

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:12

lol @ telling your brother he was adopted

not a good thing to have head in loo for too long though!

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:14

that's interesting that your dh is an only child

I guess it's swings and roundabouts when it comes to families and whether you have brothers and sisters or none

your life is your life and happy is happy

Waltzywotzy · 25/10/2008 21:15

off to get dcs to bed
see you later, lovely chatting

""hi world wide web audience""

Tn0g · 25/10/2008 21:15

we used to really fight like cat and dog

we'd grab each other round the neck and kick lumps out of each other
