Tnog said to take a look at the newyorker short stories.

I have been listening to them online. What can I say, I am a lazy book worm. Its cold here today. Flu nearly gone, nearly back to feeling normal, if ever there is such a thing. Are you feeling better now ml?

Makes tea...la de dar...

mummylin2495 · 10/11/2008 17:09

yes thankyou wotz, cold has gone completely now ,seems to be that everyone has either had one or getting one !! i too am getting dinner ready but i think dh said he was going to be home later than normal, but that could mean ten minutes or 2 hrs so i am cooking it anyway.

mummylin2495 · 10/11/2008 17:09

any ideas for new thread title ??? not many posts to go

Waltzywotzy · 10/11/2008 17:36

I'm not sure but about a new thread, but I would like some style help. I want a nice alternative to The Little Black Dress for a New Years Eve bash....size 16.

mummylin2495 · 10/11/2008 22:13

how about a little red dress then wotz

BrainyBrian · 11/11/2008 08:21

Oh dresses I know this may seem like I am taking mick/playing around but TESCO have some beautiful little dresses, deep purple, deep red and a nice green coloured one.

I never wear a dress. I would like to go somewhere just to wear a pretty Christmas party dress.

Waltzywotzy · 11/11/2008 09:03

I might just buy one and waltz around my bedroom to my favourite music BB

DD and I were looking at all sorts of sites last night. Peacocks, Matalan, Bettey, Wallis, Debenhams...... I was actually looking for a dress ML, not starting a new thread . Red - not sure about red. Dark olives, rich dark colours maybe.

dd loved some of these - this store is in Liverpool One.

cult.co.uk dresses if you are cute and young The sizes vary, but generally are: Small: uk8-10 : Medium: uk10-12 : Large: uk12-14 (large 12 -14 ) They don't do who's eaten all the pies size! They do do FREE delivery on orders over £30 - it says that anyway.

I can see dd doing a little Xmas Wish list on that site.

Waltzywotzy · 11/11/2008 09:07

Tnog you can order in Euros, I wonder If you'd get free delivery. They'd fit you.

BrainyBrian · 11/11/2008 09:55

Oh yes those are definitely young/thin people dresses.

I am 14 top and 10/12 bottom. Very difficult to find things to fit properly.

I like the nice purple coloured ones I have seen. Very pretty. I will go and see if I can see them.

DD is behaving terribly. Viral infection my ass.

Waltzywotzy · 11/11/2008 10:07

There is so many bugs going round ATM

mummylin2495 · 11/11/2008 10:50

i rarely wear dresses.but when i do they are usually long ones for somewhere special. I may be small but def not young enough for most of them !Its the special training i had wotz i thought you were leaving clues for the new thread
BB glad things have improved at home for you !

sparklesandwine · 12/11/2008 14:23

i wish i was rich so that i could get someone to cook for me....i burn too much and think my dc will have very bizarre food tastes when they grow up

How about...Who Needs Gok?, the sequel.

We've got G's parent/teacher meeting tomorrow

should be interesting

We'll get to find out the truth behind the, 'I don't know what I did today!'[said in an indignant manner] and, 'Teacher is such an old bag, she's always picking on me'[yeah, right]

Another funeral, M?

Tn0g · 13/11/2008 16:10

...and he takes his grade 1 piano a week monday

I'm stressed and fed-up shrieking at him to practice his bloody scales

Tn0g · 13/11/2008 16:12

....and I had my hair trimmed today and it's not even.

I'll have to go back tomorrow and tell her to chop another bit off the left side.

mummylin2495 · 13/11/2008 16:15

mummylin2495 · 13/11/2008 16:19

i used to hate my piano lessons tnog ,in the ned my mum took me out of it because i didnt learn too well and never could use both hands whilst i had that particular teacher !!! i think its because i didnt have a big enough span with my small hands !

mummylin2495 · 13/11/2008 16:20

see i am once again writing my words back to front,i have no idea why that happens, you can have last post tnog !!
