Was trick or treating quiet round your way tonight?

It was much less busy than last year, just walking round we didn't see many others, despite it being a nice evening compared to last year when it pissed down but loads were out!

Less than half the sweets we left out went too, compared to all last year.

Was it quieter than last year for anyone else? I wonder why!

No knocks here (thankfully) but quite a lot of fireworks for some reason.

It was quiter than last year definitely. I wonder if it being on Saturday made a difference. Did people have more get togethers for the kids or maybe people are still away on mid term break holidays .

My daughter curtailed it due to Strictly! Hurrah for being back in the house in the warm in double-quick(step) time.

We had no knocks at all. It was quiet last year too, used to be very busy.

Yes it was a bit quieter here. One of the dads that came with his kids said they hadn’t seen as many people out as usual.

Yes. Currently eating the sweets I had because nobody knocked.

This was the busiest year I’ve had here! It was crazy. Ran out of sweets. Some fab costumes. 👻 🎃 🧟‍♀️

We were very busy, hundreds of kids out, it was great! I think being on a Saturday helped. We were out by 5 and back by 7 though and it was pretty quiet by 7:30.

Think we had around 250+ kids here. That’s pretty normal for us. Just stand by the front door for 2 hours. I love all the costumes!

We live in a housing estate. Arrived home from shopping and the kids were out in force several really big groups. Then the fireworks a bit later.
Sadly we have not done a pumpkin this year as DD2 is too anxious so we missed the fun

Not a single knock! North East England. Really surprised. Normally get at least 10-15 groups of kids.

Pretty quiet. But then we don’t decorate since our kids stopped trick or treating many years ago. No decorations = no callers where we are. There are a few houses dotted about the neighbourhood which do decorate. Heard a few groups going round, but all seemed to be done by about 7.

No, the opposite here, absolutely heaving!
I think it was because it's a Saturday night and not pouring with rain for a change.

Busier here. One year we had no knocks at all. This year we had 30 witches, skeletons, wizards and pumpkins turn up, as we ran out of Freddo bars and Haribo bags.

Defo wasn’t quiet here, I mean I live on the main road and we go all out but defo busier than last year. We almost ran out of sweets and we had double than last year which I even had to go to the shop and buy some more.

Quiet with only three knocks but they came mob-handed, so there were 19 kids altogether.

The only way I know that is because we had a bag of 20 treats and there was only one left which I ate.😂

There are no children living in our road and we are out of the way.

I got some sweets just in case and enjoyed eating them when no-one knocked.

we would usually have 100+ calls and we probably had 30. It was dry and lovely mild weather too it’s just absolutely DEAD.

First year we haven't decorated since the kids were small. Blissful silence.
