Sad news and loved him as Captain Picard and Prof. Xavier.

Feel quite upset by this one. I know he was older and had a good life. He reminded me so much of my dad, who we also lost this year.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in August this year - he was a huge Star Trek fan (as am I!). Our dads will be in good company with Sir Patrick Stewart up there with them 💗

@Rinoachicken I have similar issues, and ways of coping with them. He was a wonderful actor, man, and a true gentleman. Warp speed, Sir Patrick. You will be missed, and you will be remembered. Marina Sirtis will be in bits. . .

Sad news. He was in a very good Frasier episode.

I can't remember that; which one?

HylianShroom · 29/10/2026 20:36

Really saddened to hear this. He seemed like a lovely man. I loved him as Macbeth.

Such sad news, i absolutely loved him. I read his autobiography a couple of years ago, thoroughly enjoyed it

Yes, it's a great read.

He seemed like such a good egg, supporting women and LGBTQ+ people and generally being a laugh. Not many celebrity deaths actually make me feel sad, but this is one.

Make it not so 😭

It's so sad. I got teary reading about it.

I thought of her, too, and Frakes. And especially McKellen.

He did a few spots on Family Guy. I wonder if he was a fan?

He was a regular on Alien Dad

I can't remember that; which one?

He is a gay man either an actor or composer and believes Frasier is gay too and befriends him with an eye to romance. Martin knows and watched with amusement

Dollymylove · 29/10/2026 20:44

Aw rest in peace. I loved him in Star trek xx

Limeandfigs · 29/10/2026 20:47

He was a wonderful Sir Simon de Canterville.

Yes, death. Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace.

Gingernaut · 29/10/2026 20:48

He was an amazing advocate against domestic violence

He often spoke about his upbringing and produced at least one ad for Amnesty

Even without seeing him, he was chilling

He was an amazing actor

Going against the grain here but i thought he was awful to James Corden at that awards ceremony...I am no fan of Corden believe me, but Patrick Stewart tried to make him look like a mug and it backfired on him as Corden gave as good as he got.

Leopardsdontchange · 29/10/2026 20:48

I do hope that there is a moment at the Bradford / Hudds game on Sat to mark respects. Always thought he was a great guy.

What a legend.
RIP Sir Patrick

Very sad to see him go.

I'm another fan of his work against domestic violence, and he always came across as a 24-carat solid gold Lovely Bloke.

Thanks for everything, Sir Patrick.

Happyjoe · 29/10/2026 21:00

Oh no. Lovely voice, seemed a good man too. All my old fav's are leaving us.

BinfluencerEarly · 29/10/2026 21:00

In the 1990s he used to go back to Mirfield and open the local fete and suchlike. No fanfare, barely a mention in the Huddersfield Examiner. He had a strong West Yorkshire accent when back home too.

An all round good egg, and a sad loss.

A renowned opera director actually Frasier darling.
