RIP Sir Patrick.

InTheCludgie · 29/10/2026 19:58

Oh no a bit sad to hear that. DH is a big Next Generation fan and is currently doing a rewatch. I loved his episode on Who Do You Think You Are?

Notonthestairs · 29/10/2026 19:59

Oh that’s very sad news. He always seemed like a good sort.

mummabubs · 29/10/2026 19:59

Genuinely so sad to read this 😭 He was a great actor and I loved that he could laugh at himself.

Pedallleur · 29/10/2026 19:59

One of the greatest actors. Rags to riches. His life story was fantastic. I saw him do the Christmas Carol 1 man show and a talk in Buxton about his life. A gentleman in every sense.

FluffytheGoldfish · 29/10/2026 19:59

So sad, was not expecting him to be the next Star trek actor to go. Loved him since I saw him in Lady Jane.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 29/10/2026 20:00

Very sad to see this this evening

Dearg · 29/10/2026 20:00

I get so obsessed with him everytime I go through next gen' RIP indeed.Sad

moominontherun · 29/10/2026 20:02

What a life and career and legacy he has left. It’s not often that celebrities dying makes me gasp aloud but this one did when it popped up. Saw him in No Man’s Land with Ian McKellen years ago and he was incredible. A real legend of the stage and screen.

Exit stage left one last time, Sir Patrick, and thank you.

DrCoconut · 29/10/2026 20:05

When I graduated from university he was at alternate ceremonies in his role as chancellor (?), I got the one that he wasn't doing.

user1471538275 · 29/10/2026 20:05

Amazed he went before the original Kirk.

Trekkies having a bad week.

tobee · 29/10/2026 20:05

I didn’t ever watch later Star Trek but I loved him in Extras.
