Who’s the nicest person you know?

For me it’s a work colleague. She’s genuinely the nicest friendliest woman I’ve ever met. She’ll go out of her way to help other people and shes got the most positive outlook on life despite some really tragic things she’s been through.
So who’s the nicest person you know?

My boyfriend. Kindest man alive.

Pieceofpurplesky · 24/10/2026 21:40

It used to be my dad but he passed recently and it's so sad. Everybody loved him and he had time for everyone (except my ex-husband, I really should have listened!).

Roselilly36 · 24/10/2026 21:44

My late mil, she had a heart of gold, lived for her family. Always listened & supported me. I miss her every day.

cupfinalchaos · 24/10/2026 21:47

My dh. Gets happiness from helping others. A true giver.

Popfan · 24/10/2026 21:56

My mum. She is the loveliest person , always so kind and generous and never says anything horrible about anyone.

My partner, honestly the kindest hearted most patient person I've ever met

Gothamcity · 24/10/2026 22:19

My boss. She is the most empathetic, understanding, kind person I've ever met. She's so laid back and it's really helped me re-evaluate my own outlook on life. I've always been quite anxious and get stressed and grumpy easily, and more and more I find myself stopping and thinking "just let it go" because I know this is how my boss would react to the same situation, and it's really so refreshing. Being around her positivity and calmness has helped me enormously. Also my teen daughter. Everyone who meets her says she has the kindest soul. Always looking out for others and I have to remind her it's okay to be "selfish" sometimes as she lives to make other people happy.

HRTQueen · 24/10/2026 22:22

My nanny she was just so lovely and never mean about anyone

it came as a bit of a shock when in her last few year she put herself first

Puppamumma · 24/10/2026 22:39

My sister I'm so lucky to have her in my life she's had some really terrible health experiences and yet she just marches on. You'll never hear her bad mouth anyone and is the most least judgemental woman you could know. She has a husband and daughter who totally adore her because she's just the kindest person who you would have the luck to meet

My 18 year old son. He's so kind and patient. He just has this calm vibe that steadies our whole family. We're so lucky to have him.

I was literally about to say my 17 year old, he's the quiet steady rock of our family

SapphireSteel28 · 24/10/2026 23:19

My best friend’s late mother. She was funny, kind and genuinely interested in everyone she met. She’d had a tough childhood but there was no bitterness. A wonderful woman!

CuteHANDBAG · 24/10/2026 23:23

My Mum, she is amazing. She is not far off 90 and I can’t think of a single time she has said anything mean or harsh to me. She has only ever been lovely. To me and to everyone .

I wonder about this too. Do these nice people never experience that rage and want to scream 'Fuck off you bunch of cunts' at everyone and storm off?

My mum is very emotionally even, she does have the odd muttered 'fuck' if she can't work her new phone or something, but never ever would she swear at a person. I don't think she's ever raised her voice to me, she might have got curt or firm if we were naughty as children. She isn't pretending to be nice and hiding dark emotions, she is nice, and her dark emotions come out in a more muted way. She cries, she worries, she's a human, but some people just are a bit more unselfish and lovelier than the rest of us. She is on an even emotional keel and that allows her to be supportive and genuinely interested in others.

One of my friends. She says it like it is and I really respect that quality in a person.

That's interesting thank you.

What a lovely explanation. Your mother sounds amazing ❤️ Mine is emotionally stunted, can't go into the ins and outs of it. She's not bad but has no empathy at all.

My much loved and missed MIL , luckily her grand daughter, my youngest, inherited her kindness gene. The greatest of all human qualities.

My husband. Genuinely. Everyday I’m thankful for him. Going through something tough at the moment and so especially so. He’s just so thoroughly bloody decent. I’m very proud to be his choice of partner.

Mine too! Her mum, my gran, was just the same.

The woman who ran the charity that got me out of street prostitution. Fabulous woman, the nicest, kindest, best person in the world. Takes no prisoners, stands for no nonsense, biggest heart there ever was. I would be dead without her.

Great to hear she found you. Glad life is better for you now x

My youngest child (DS15). Always had a natural empathy even from a very, very young age. Can talk easily to all age-groups (my 90-odd year old mother and her chums etc). He will always call-out poor behaviour with his mates and appears to have a mature understanding of how to handle relationships with girls etc. Good, fun company as well.

Well done, Mum!

biggestcatmom · 25/10/2026 01:39

I have two. Firstly my cousin, she reminds me so much of my Mum, always thinking about others and helping them, putting others first and generally being self-ness. The other is my work bestie. Shes always there to help everyone and everyone loves her for her outgoing personality, very few realise that she struggles with her mental health, she knows I’m there when she needs me, and ditto, I’ve needed her in the past when I’ve struggled. 🫶🏻

CarolinaInTheMorning · 25/10/2026 01:40

My mother-in-law, sadly now deceased. She was kind and very patient, very open-minded, also funny and good company. Her son, my DH, did not fall far from that tree, one of the reasons I married him. His sisters are very much the same. I have been very lucky with my in-laws.

Lilypad34 · 25/10/2026 02:20

It would have to be my dh, he’s very live and let live, non judgemental and genuinely kind, loves all animals (a must for me to like anyone!) but has good boundaries so isn’t a pushover. He’s just such a well balanced person.
