I love getting ideas from other peoples meals, I generally cook from scratch and try and avoid UPF but try to take a common sense approach.
I'm feeling board and looking for inspiration.

Monday
Frozen pizza with added toppings, salad.

Tuesday
Burgers, coleslaw and potato wedges
(All homemade except the buns)

Wednesday
Sweet and sour pork with rice
(cooked from scratch)

Tonight we are having chicken fried rice. I'm roasting a chicken and will use some of that, along with the leftover rice from last night and some veg from the fridge and freezer.

Tomorrow I will make a chicken curry with the rest of the chicken.

Tolouse sausage and white bean stew

white chilli (chicken chilli)

mondaytosunday · 15/10/2026 13:36

Monday: mushroom and tofu with rice
Tuesday: baked potato, fried onion and chorizo and salad
Wednesday: beef meatball burrito bowl
Today: same again
Friday: Thai inspired pork with noodles

I get Hello Fresh, which means when no one else is here I eat it two days in a row. Two to four meals a week I have a baked potato and salad, or chicken Kiev, or some pasta dish etc.

Its just DH and myself, no allergies or fussy eaters.

-Sunday we had roast beef, so on Monday night the left over beef became massaman curry. I used a jar but then it gets pimped with additional fresh herbs/ spices https://www.recipetineats.com/massaman-curry/
-Salmon with things from the garden- runner beans, corn and new potatoes. Also tender stem broccoli and carrots
-Wed was Ottolenghi's Marbella chicken with a jewelled rice https://ottolenghi.co.uk/pages/recipes/roasted-chicken-legs-dates-olives-capers
-Tonight pork chops and veg
-Fri, might be Thai green curry or fajitas www.recipetineats.com/thai-green-curry/

Massaman Curry

Made-from-scratch beef Massaman Curry! A rich fragrant Thai coconut curry with tender fall apart beef, it takes a few hours to make and is totally worth it!

We get it… you cook from scratch!

Youngbutsuccessfulmum · 15/10/2026 13:50

Monday: Tinga de pollo
Tuesday: Pulled gochujang chicken with japchae
Wednesday: Fajitas
Tonight: Either chicken tikka masala, butter chicken or chicken Penang. I will be cooking all 3 for the freezer and will eat a portion of whichever I fancy.
Friday: vegetable bibimbap

All cooked from scratch, I don't do UPFs either. Except for Wednesday, as I dined at someone's house and they used a paste mix.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 15/10/2026 13:51

Lamb and tomato casserole (very little lamb, a lot of tomato)
Pumpkin, carrot, tomato and red lentil soup, curried

At some point there will be bean burgers.

Hayley1256 · 15/10/2026 13:51

Lamb rump with sweet potato and veg.
Sausage sandwiches (after day of travelling)😅
Mojo Chicken, chorizo and potato bake.
Tonight is curry

NoHangoversToday · 15/10/2026 13:51

We have had a vegetarian roast dinner three times this week. One night with cauli cheese and one night with broccoli cheese. Then peas, carrots, roasted potatos.

Tonight DH is making borscht but I don't like how he does it so I have made split pea soup. The DCs will have chicken burgers and salad.

NotmeMother · 15/10/2026 13:52

Monday - Lamb burger and wedges
Tuesday - Aubergine, Kale and chickpea curry
Wednesday - Left overs from above but with some pasta to bulk up
Thursday - Prawn red Thai curry with rice

MrsAvocet · 15/10/2026 13:53

Tonight I'm out at my sport club and won't be back til late so will probably just be soup or a sandwich. DH can fend for himself.
Tomorrow will be ratatouille with prawns and orzo.
Haven't decided about the weekend yet.

cuckoolodger · 15/10/2026 13:53

A lot of the supermarket gochujangs are UPF as they add syrups or additives

Monday: chicken fajitas with lots of salad and crème fraiche but no guacamole 😥

Tuesday: buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dip (made with Roquefort..I think I prefer Stilton), oven chips and cherry tomatoes (my plants are finally producing)

Wed: confit duck leg and cauliflower with 4 cheese sauce (shop bought this time) and grated vintage cheddar on top. No carb.

Tonight, I have a salmon darne to fry/bake and bag of baby spinach to wilt when I come home after Oktoberfest. (But I may buy some chips from the chipper en route…depending on how the evening goes).

i had a plan at the start of the week that had some similarities to what happened…but only some. I have the makings of pepperoni pizza (base, sauce, proper mozarella and proper pepperoni, and olives); or a carbonara type pasta meal, or another confit duck leg with oven chips…or a lamb rogan Josh from the freezer from a batch a few weeks ago if I remember to take it out. I’m beyond thinking though…so very easy like those, not my original plan of mushroom risotto.

Edited

Freeze the leftovers for a stir fry another time! Or to add to other leftovers for a curry or whatever. Other good uses I have include Nasi Goreng (an Indian fried rice dish), sweet’n’sour or stir fry with loads of veg and less chicken, risotto, or a good sandwich (I like to have it with lemon mayonnaise). Roast chicken freezes beautifully.

(Not the recipe I know but no need to throw it out!).

julesover40 · 15/10/2026 14:08

We had roast pork with all the trimmings on Monday (ended up eating out on Sunday).
Homemade cottage pie on Tuesday.
Seafood pasta with garlic bread Wednesday.
Not sure for tonight, probably something simple like a jacket potato as only 2 of us in for dinner.
Love these threads, lots of inspo for future meals.

spideysmumma · 15/10/2026 14:15

Monday - crispy gnocci cheeseburger bowls
Tuesday - heck chicken burgers with fries and corn on the cob
Wednesday - sausage, bacon, egg, tomato, avocado and bagels (bit random but DH fancied it!)
Thursday - chicken and bacon pie with veg (homemade)
Friday - salmon with sticky rice and air fryer brocolli
Saturday - hopefully a pub tea!

littlemousebigcheese · 15/10/2026 14:15

Monday - spaghetti and meatballs with carrots and garlic bread

Tuesday - pasta bake with broccoli

Wednesday - chicken and potato curry

Thursday - I’m making carbonara with mozzarella sticks and carrots!

Sgtmajormummy · 15/10/2026 14:17

Low effort meal plan this week.

We’ve had carb-based lunches, so rice, pasta, gnocchi, ravioli. All with simple salad and/or fresh fruit. And all made by somebody else. Aaaah, bliss! I’ll make vegetable soup tomorrow for a couple of meals and a pumpkin risotto at the weekend.

Quick protein and veg in the evenings. Frozen cod fillets with roasted courgettes, roast chicken, pressure cooked beans and sausages (apple cake to follow and for breakfasts) and tonight it’s creamy pork and mushrooms with grilled peppers.

NuttyButtyBoo · 15/10/2026 14:18

Sunday - Lamb roast dinner
Monday - Bacon & Pea Pesto Pasta with garlic bread
Tuesday - Shepherds Pie with leftover roast lamb
Wednesday - Bang Bang chicken noodles
Today - Chicken goujons, chips and salad
Tomorrow - Chinese chicken curry
Saturday - Lasagne and salad
Sunday - probably Gammon roast dinner

Loving all the inspo as I often get stuck in a boring dinner rut!

Edit for typo!

blackheartsgirl · 15/10/2026 14:21

Im struggling with meals at the moment as theres me who like nice healthy food and my two teen daughters who both like different things and both very fussy

so quite often the 19 year old will either sort herself out or go to her boyfriends hoise

so dd3 will only eat certain things.

In often end up cooking 2 different dinners

we all like home made chilli
colmans tuna pasta bake
roast dinner
spaghetti bolognaise

dd3 and I like posh fish cakes, tinned new potatoes and tender stem broccoli

but shemstruggles with food so more often than not will just eat noodles or a burger in a bun with chips

tonight she’s having burgers and I’m making my self a chickpea and cauliflower curry with coconut rice.

whatwasthatnoise · 15/10/2026 14:32

Kung pao chicken and noodles.
Gammon and oven chips, salad.
Hot smoked salmon, pasta, creamy sauce.
Loaded jacket potatoes (scoop the innards of cooked jacket potatoes, mash and mix with cooked bacon lardons, spring onions, sour cream, grated cheese. Put back in the potato skin, top with a bit more cheese, pop in the oven 180c for 20 mins). More salad on the side.
Sausage casserole and mashed potatoes tonight.
Pizza tomorrow.
