Anyone else hate their neighbours?

I’m just having a little rant. I hate my neighbours so much. They live as though they are in a detached house rather than a flat in a densely packed building. They ripped out the carpets and put wooden floors in without any consideration for noise. They stomp around with shoes indoors on said wooden floors. They get aggressive if anyone dares to complain and smoke cannabis which makes the building stink.

The building mangers are useless. They don’t do anything other than issue notices to all of the flats about antisocial behaviour but then do nothing about it.

Fortunately I am moving very soon. But I feel sorry for the next tenants. I was always puzzled when I first moved into this flat as to why the previous tenants had moved after only a few months. Now I know why.

WIBU to leave a parting note to the neighbours telling them how awful they are?

I think I would be tempted to leave a note just as you leave. It wont make them change but at least you will have had the last word. If we are thinking of putting an offer on a property, we make a point of knocking on the neighbours' doors to see what they are like.

I hate my neighbours. They tried to lie about ownership of part of our parking area, because they have too many cars and not enough parking. It got so heated due to them repeatedly blocking our driveway he threated to punch me when I told them to their faces not to trespass (I'm a woman). It's very clearly our land and I sent them a copy of the title deeds to prove it. They've gone silent now. Every bit of mis delivered mail I get for them goes straight in the bin. Once I found their full names I found them on social media, which gave me their employer's names. The police were notified of the threat just in case he does get violent, but in the meantime I'm biding my time to get my own back.

I often think of that horror film called the purge where on one night a year you were allowed to kill your neighbours.

The only good one s a dead one.

It is. Also pets can become high through hotboxing, same as people (including children). Basically sitting in a small unventilated room filled with people smoking weed can get you passively high. Its cruel when it's an animal or child that has no choice or control in the matter even if it's through carelessness rather than intent.

That is absolutely terrible. I hate the idea of being drunk and on drugs or both as I assume most people do. I cant imagine innocent children and poor animals subject to it as well

I don't quite understand - are tradesmens, so electricians, gas fitters decorators etc violent as a type of people? May need to notify many people I know that they may be dangerous.......

Red faced bald Dave the plumber has a reputation for punching customers immediately upon fixing their leaky kitchen tap.

Tattooed, black toothed electrican Bob has to clank you over the head with his tool box after hes fixed your electric shower.

Jeff the fake tanned, grease hair I hate boat people tattooed on the forehead who is a gas fitter has to pummel us like punching bags immediately upon fixing the boiler in the kitchen...

It IS horrible. And not a bit funny.

My emoji is a grimacing face not a laughing one. Sorry if that confused you.

It's not a 'flag' its a hate symbol. The guy is a builder and constantly wears football shirts when he's out and about and in his garden. I seriously doubt he's just into vexilology.

Why is the national flag a hate symbol? I don’t get your comment

Loathed ours who moved in 4 years after us. We moved house to a much better place! He's still causing problems in the road.

We moved onto a private road of four houses last Autumn. When we were buying the people in the sales office spoke of how lovely the people were on one side of us, it never clicked at the time that they didn’t mention the people on the other side.

The one set of neighbours are fantastic, just as we were told. The other side right from the start have been awful. They’re a couple and her two adult sons also live there. We could walk past them and they don’t even look. I’m fine with keeping yourself to yourself but at least be polite and say hello. The woman is worse than the man, he does at least occasionally grunt.

Over the Summer, when we’ve been enjoying the outdoors, the peace has been disturbed by their arguments which go on for hours. Mostly about how he works 70 hours a week to keep a roof over their heads as neither she or her sons put anything into the house.
The police have been out three times, not just one car but two each time. Last week he was taken away by the police and our Ring camera showed him being brought back several hours later to collect his car and his dog and he hasn’t been back since.

Ours have improved but we’ve had an awful summer. We were looking forward to new neighbours after the last one left.
They bought it and it sat empty for a month, when

fridaynightzzz · Yesterday 21:55

A succession of dodgy workman smashed the house to bits at all hours. We had to get the council involved and they have caused damaged to our house/roof who is sfill ongoing.
They would then turn up midnight- 1am to ‘discuss’ the work by screaming in the house and on the street.
They were incredibly noisy when they moved in and had several gatherings we had to complain about (for instance 11pm on a Wednesday when loads of men and cars would turn up) but don’t seem to really live there, they seem to cook meals and sleep there and then leave.
They’re had a few massive rows where lots of others have turned up to mediate I think, they don’t seem to like each other.
I’m sad I’d like a nice neighbour, was hoping it was a young family.

Why would you do something so hostile?

I assume you do know that the St George's flag is England's national flag? I doubt very much you'd be attacked but you would deserve to be challenged about it.

🙄

we sold our last house because of neighbours. To say I hated them is an understatement, they made our lives a misery. Been in our current home nearly 10 years and got lovely neighbours all around us now

TheDevilWears · Today 02:38

I cannot stand mine! I live in a place where it was never necessary to lock one’s door, or
car … but now I have to all the time after I discovered that my neighbour had let himself into my house when I was out and ‘borrowed’ my tools and step ladder 🤷🏼‍♀️ also a horrible bully to his wife 🙁
