It's not about nitpicking points. It's about massively oversimplifying an issue that is extremely complex and not reducing it to all our resources going to the darn "forriners".

I have worked with many individuals who are repeatedly homeless. They just can not sustain a tenancy even in supported housing. Their lives are chaotic - often marked with substance misuse, personality disorders and criminality.

And that’s why I said they need support to meet their personal and individual needs. That’s is where the money should be spent as a priority instead of non Brits.

The veterans that find themselves on hard times and difficulty adjusting to civilian life absolutely should be prioritised and I can assure you most Brits would agree!l

this is the best exchange on this thread and a welcome relief from the rest of it

She is given the part of the villain in the Penny Dreadful's Presents version of the story I mentioned above. They are very funny but also very interesting!

As an artist, why would something being "crap" stop it being art? People always love to go "that's not art" but they never say a shit book "isn't a book".

well no but they might say "its not literature"

Haven't rtft as it's massive, but why are people talking about Henry VII.

Because its interesting!

Good point. Should be offered them

Yes. It's gone to shit.

100%. I said way back in the thread what would happen, and it has....

A thread full of toxic, barbed comments.

Botox - yep. Once it starts moving/sinking, you inevitably look older. It's also more youthful to make facial expressions and when you don't, it detracts from the perception of youth. People forget, it isn't just lines or wrinkles that humans look for or respond to.

Sex.. nope. If you find the right partner, it's actually incredible. I will never go back to shit sex.

A lot of art is not art at all.

Mine are more controversial.

Life is overrated.
Loungewear in public should be banned.
It should be fine to boot people off bikes and scooters when they whizz past too fast (jokes 👀😆).
Degrees for most subjects should be scrapped.
Ban all social media.
Ban fast fashion.
3 day work weeks (max).
Compulsory 50/50 ratio of men and women in politics.
Free sports bra for all girls under 16 (so don't have to feel self-conscious during PE if can't afford one or not aware of them).

Agreed.

This is such a nonsensical argument. It isn’t a prerequisite to believe in things like overly generous welfare before you can disagree with killing a human being.

It would still be the thing it is, e.g. a painting or a sculpture. But not called 'art'. Same as your book example.

I think no one should be able to take out of a system without having contributed towards it. Regardless of citizenship. Where you are born is due to luck outside of your control. How you act in life such as standing on your own to feet and being a productive member of society however is completely in your control. And that, in my opinion, should be considered much more than citizenship. Being a citizen comes with rights, yes of course, but as an immigrant the majority of my life, your responsibilities are equally important.

I know it’s due to luck but such is life unfortunately. I wouldn’t have the right to move to Australia and I’d love to but it’s not going to happen. Countries have a duty and responsibility to look after and priorities their own first and foremost and think if that was the case there would be less hostility and resentment here. I think Australia and the likes of Canada have it right, though it’s bad luck for me it’s better for their own citizens. You’ve also got to factor in the fact that whilst frustrating when people don’t work when they can, that’s rare these days but their families will have paid in to the system and unfortunately they are our responsibility and whilst it’s not ideal it’s less frustrating to think a British citizen claiming benefits as we can’t remove them. We can remove a non British citizen

I think they’re all just an escape to an extent but disagree with this.
Islam actively encourages its followers to hate people who don’t follow it.
Does Buddhism really do the same ?

RedLeicesterRedLeicester · 13/10/2026 22:13

WhoGives2Fucks · 13/10/2026 14:33

Autism should be categorised differently.

The the difference between those who have kids, hold down a good job, run a house, have a partner and no one would know they had asd compared to those that won’t be independent is so vast that it seems utterly meaningless to use the same name. It’s not always due to LD either. Like saying apples pears are the same and they’re clearly absolutely not.

’Having a partner’
Not having a partner is sometimes the best thing for your children. Cheers though

Anyone who would vote reform is lacking intelligence.

People should be required to pass basic intelligence tests before they are eligible ro
vote.

Or “fit to have children” test

AInightingale · 13/10/2026 22:05

I'm sure it is but how did he come to enter the discussion?

Because a PP is sure that R3 didnt kill the princes as he had nothing to gain. Another PP said that H7 DID have good reason as with them still alive they were a threat to his very tenuous claim to the throne. Margaret Beaufort (H7's mother) was very much promoting his cause and as she was in England when the Princes died and H7 was still in France, that she could have been behind their deaths.

I personally think that H7 via his mother is a more likely culprit that R3.

Several hills are involved!

And not allowed inside public eating areas ( cafes , restaurants etc )

Or department stores. Sick of people bringing their dogs shopping in JL, Selfridges and other stores. Don’t want smelly dogs near stuff I want to buy

Some people seem to care more about preventing an abortion than about the child’s well-being once it’s born.

Some people seem to care more about being legally allowed to murder rather than caring for children instead.

Basically, when you get a tattoo, you're putting chemicals and tiny particles into your body that aren't meant to be there. Some of that ink also gets into your lymph nodes. Your body tries to get rid of them but can't so it ends up constantly reacting to something it can't remove. That causes inflammation and extra pressure on your immune system for the rest of your life. Likely contributes to cancer too.

Is this just a thought or do you have a scientific background
