This time last year i was 14 stone.
I often had stess incontinence, I couldn't walk up stairs without getting breathless. I couldn't run if I tried I would gasp for breath and vomit. Walking was very slow.

Now I'm 8st 10. And I can get up the stairs without getting breathless. I can now walk with a good fast pace. I can have little races with ds. I'm not struggling with breathlessness and vomiting. No bladder issues.I feel younger physically.

Ds said to me mummy do you remember when you was fat and you breathed fast and would be sick 🥺. Thats what made me reflect

Well done OP for the weight loss. How tall are you? I'm 5 ' 7" and weighed 14st last year (now 13st) but didn't feel as bad as that - are you fairly short?

It's a massive weight loss, well done you! I'm guessing the gain was recent because the negative physical effects seemed quite extreme. I think when people carry weight for a long time their bodies adapt, I have no scientific basis for this so pls correct me if I'm wrong. Have you ever been this slim before?

Please tell us lots of little things that are different? Aside from looks or clothes. Can you curl up in a chair? Can you rummage in your bag easily on a ryanair flight? Can you change at a beach without spending 10 mins stressing about how your are going to get your boobs into a bra? These are the really important questions and things that I find truly motivating!

No it’s the opposite, the longer you’re fat the bigger the risk

But some people do work out how to manage it themselves.

I think that’s why the pp was just asking the OP if she did.

Every single weight loss method from diet and exercise to drugs to even bariatric surgery shows weight loss followed, eventually, by regain. That’s the human body. On a population level that’s what we see on every graph. The vast majority of people with obesity will never lose more than 5% of their body weight without drugs or surgery. They simply do not manage it. That’s what my obesity specialist lecturer told me.

I'm more flexible. Had to take German shepherd to the vets in ds car and I was able to have my legs in odd position to give her more room. Beach wise i always wore leggings and a top at the beach never a costume. if got wet I would dry in the sun. I have only been on an aeroplane once as an adult and I was over weight then. I been mostly over weight from late 20s I think.

I thought the bladder issue were pelvic floor related to having children.i thought the breathing thing was linked to iron. And all the slowness and effort to do things that are small. But take alot of effort. I just know them struggles . Have gone since losing weight
