Mid-terms looming, approval falling, prices rising, wars ongoing - Ping Ping and Fu Shuang must be wondering what heinous crime they committed to be banished chosen as envoys of friendship between China and USA. 🐼🐼

That latest decision about his complaint about Auntie Beeb is magic, isn't it? He'll no doubt slime his way out of it, but he may become aware that there are a lot of people saying loudly: "We see you for what you are, you lying grifter."

What will it take for a judge to throw out this case?
Trump skipped on last agreed date because of "matters of national importance" then on the day went to a Maga rally and a maralago fundraiser.
Now he doesn't want any deposition videoed..

Trump has come out in favour of Ramaswamy.

I know that owning and shocking the libs plays well with his base and that explains some of his more outlandish behaviour, but does he think his base is now pro child abuse?

"Thursday, October 22, 20266:38 PM Truth Social

Vivek Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Amy Acton, who is running for Governor of Ohio, is a liar, and much worse. The Press, in a concerted and well coordinated attack, is trying to get Vivek Ramaswamy to "take down the Ad." Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about a daughter in that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving in Office, let alone the Office of Governor. If my mother, the legendary Mary MacLeod Trump, said anything bad about me, the Fake News would play it up. The Dumocrats would be totally supportive, and it would go down as the Ad of the Decade -- Maybe the Century! It would win Awards for Excellence in Advertising. But, because Vivek, who will be a GREAT Governor, put it out, the "Artificial" News has teamed up against him in order to damage, demean, and embarrass a Republican who is leading in the Polls. Our RINO Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, who I unfortunately helped get elected years ago, when he was losing by 16 points prior to my doing a Rally for him was, as usual, disloyal to the Republican Party. He strongly suggested that Vivek should, "take down the Ad." He probably wants a Dumocrat to win, and certainly doesn't want someone who will do a much better job than he is capable of doing. I suggested, on the other hand, that Vivek should keep it up, and let everyone listen to the mother of a defective, dishonest, and incapable Candidate, explain how the daughter is a DISASTER who, uncontrollably, lies, cheats, and steals! I only wish the mothers of my opponents would be so brave as to come forward and explain that their son or daughter is a liar, and much worse. That took a lot of courage to do but, essentially, what she was really doing was saving Ohio from making a truly horrible choice! The Press is trying to convince everyone that this Ad is bad, because it's so good! Who wouldn't use such an Ad? I would, it's called, "hitting pay dirt." The fact is, Lyin' Amy Acton, who I've never even heard of before, has been lying about Vivek for the entire Campaign. I know the real Vivek, he is a brilliant and outstanding person who will cut Taxes, stop Crime and, MAKE OHIO GREAT AGAIN. He will be a fantastic Governor! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

He was asked about this Truth that he posted later, at another press quacker as he went to board Marine 1.

“I have no idea. All I know is Amy Acton’s mother said horrible things about Amy Acton, calling her a liar and other things,” Trump said when pressed by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about the abuse allegations. “I say that she’s fair game.”

So he made the post, then says he knows nothing about the case.

"Lyin' Amy Acton". Is Trumps name for her. She was taken into care with her brother at 12 years old. I know folk know this from following the story, and I am sorry for repeating it here. But I am having trouble processing this so I need to repeat it to myself. The President of the United States, let me get this right, is effectively calling a 12 year old girl and her brother liars, after they were taken into care.

Because that 12 year old girl grew up and wants to be a politician.

And this is the pro life, pro Bible, pro law and order, Republican Party.

We can go from the disgusting treatment of child abuse to windmills.

Adjusting Imports of Wind Turbines and Their Parts and Components into the United States – The White House

Lets see what his sycophants have come up with to support the mad conspiracist bloke in the pub, who does not like windmills. Let's marvel at the logic of the Government of the United States of America, and their official position on wind energy.

"BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION

1. Within the past 90 days, the Secretary of Commerce (Secretary) transmitted to me a report on his investigation into the effects of imports of......."

Blah blah.. lets get the details.

"2. Among other things, the Secretary found that wind energy is an unreliable and intermittent energy source and that the use of wind energy diverts the United States electrical grid from more reliable energy sources."

Ok. Next ?

".... contain cybersecurity vulnerabilities that could lead to remote control access to wind turbines and cause power disruption; .."

And ?

".... interfering with national airspace..."

Go on

"...and air safety..."

Anything else ?

".... radar interference that can affect air traffic control..."

I see there are more numbered paragraphs in this doc don. What do they say ?

"3. The Secretary found that wind energy is intermittent and burdensome on the United States electrical grid."

You mentioned that is para 2. Anything to add?

"....compared to the steady output of fossil fuel or nuclear energy,..."

Yeah.. and ?

".. grid operators must frequently rely upon fast-ramping fossil fuel backup generators to compensate for wind energy’s high net load variability and maintain grid stability. This results in higher operational costs and increased maintenance burdens."

That's a new one on me Don. Increased maintenance to thermal plants. Next Paragraph please.

"4. The Secretary found that the unpredictability of wind energy makes it less reliable than other energy sources that conversely provide steady output as standalone energy sources. "

You already fucking said that. TWICE.

"....resources that are used to support wind energy and wind energy projects could instead have been used to strengthen more reliable energy sources that are essential to the national and economic security of the United States."

Fuck me. Now you are really scraping the barrel. But you are the USA Don. Near unlimited everything.

Go on. Paragraph 5, and it better not be about intermittent wind.

"5. The Secretary found that the use of wind energy poses unique national security risks compared to other energy sources."

You already said that. Anything new you have not already said.

"....interfere with radar.."

You already said that.

"....air traffic control.."

And you said that.

"... weather forecasting...."

Oh that's new.

Right next paragraph. Up to number 6 now.

"6. More specifically, the Secretary found that wind energy products — particularly foreign imported products — present unique cybersecurity risks that could lead to remote control access to wind turbines and cause power disruption...."

I think you said that. Paragraph 7 please.

"7. The Secretary found that wind turbines can affect ground and air-based radars by creating “clutter,” reducing detection sensitivity, obscuring potential targets, and scattering radio wave returns. "

Not radar again.

"...negative implications on weather forecasting, air traffic management, and military radar systems. ..."

Jesus. Can you just stop with all the repeating. Paragraph 8. And make it a good one Don.

"8. The Secretary found that the United States is reliant on imports of foreign produced wind turbine components and subcomponents and that imports of wind turbine components and subcomponents have increased over the last decade, while domestic manufacturing capacity for certain products, such as blades, has not meaningfully increased. "

So increase it then. Next, Paragraph 9. No wait.. that all the legal stuff. Lets see...

Reading through it and.... DO NOTHING.

That is your proclamation.

So it's official now. The USA is against windmills. He has had the government produce that doc that does nothing but vent.

And they totally missed the dead birds he always goes on about. So no gold star for whoever wrote that for you Don.

Their 'line' is that Ms Acton is lying. So the issue of being pro child abuse doesn't even come into it.

Even in the face of it having been reported, her abuser having been charged and fleeing prosecution, and her being backed up by her brother, they can put their fingers in their ears and go 'lalalalalalalalalalala'.

(Bolding below mine)

"The ad does not mention that Acton has been estranged from her mother for decades or the rape charge involving her stepfather. According to PolitiFact, Acton's stepfather was charged in 1978 with raping a 12-year-old girl, the same age Acton was at the time. He pleaded not guilty but failed to appear in court and was considered a fugitive. Following his arrest, Acton's mother lost custody of Acton and her brother, Phil Stearns.*
Phil Stearns publicly condemned the ad in a video released by the Acton campaign, stating, "She continued to receive that abuse because she knew she had to protect me." Acton's mother reportedly remained married to Acton’s alleged abuser until his death in 2004."

I cannot believe Trump is supporting Vivek and insisting that we should listen to Amy Acton's mother because she is very brave to come forward and call her daughter a liar and any mother who does that must be telling the truth.

Hang on a minute..
Pete Hegseth's mother wiped the floor with him publicly saying he lies, cheats and is an abuser of women.
That doesn't matter then?

What I don't understand is why he could escape the court for so long. I have seen news about people being extradited between states, and I assume the step father was charged at State level. But why did the state not extradite him ?

Or is this one of those "things of the times" ?

To be fair to Trump, who tends to veer wildly in his beliefs, if there's one place he's been completely and utterly consistent, it's in his conviction that victims of sexual abuse are either lying or deserved it.

Today’s HC-R, featuring the aforementioned Eisenhower Globe:

October 22, 2026 (Thursday)

Alexander Ward and Lara Seligman of the Wall Street Journal reported today that Trump called Elon Musk yesterday to ask him to stop throttling Starlink’s military-grade communications system, Starshield, in Ukraine. Slowing down the system degrades Ukraine’s defenses as well as its offensive drones, leaving it even more vulnerable to Russian attacks. Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has taken advantage of this vulnerability by increasing strikes against Ukraine’s civilians.

The whole question of who ordered the slowdown in the first place remains a blame game between Trump and Musk, both of whom support Russia in its war on Ukraine. Members of the administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. ambassador to NATO Matt Whitaker, have tried to sell the slowdown as a business decision that Musk has the authority to make.

Whitaker told the Fox News Channel yesterday: “They are a private company. Obviously they have terms of use that are applied to all of their customers, including the Ukrainians, and I think it’s more of a dispute along those lines…than anybody in this administration trying to change the way that Starshield or Starlink is used.”

Strategic studies scholar Phillips P. O’Brien wasn’t buying that explanation, posting that it is evident “the White House is desperately trying to make [Musk] the fall guy for what is happening to Ukraine.” He continued: “If Trump wanted to help Ukraine militarily and with starshield he could. He is president. He doesn’t want to.”

But it is simply astonishing that the president of the United States, the commander in chief of the United States military, is suggesting he had to negotiate with a private citizen to tell him to stop interfering with American foreign policy.

This afternoon, asked about the call, Trump told reporters: “[I]t was a very interesting situation. So I don’t want to comment one way or the other, but, uh, my re—, my relationship with Elon is a very good one.” He reiterated: “I don’t want to comment on it. You know, whether I called or whether somebody else called, doesn’t make any difference. I guess the bottom line, he put it back.”

It remains unclear if the Ukrainians do, in fact, have full use of the networks again. Siobhán O’Grady, Carlotta Gall, and Anton Troianovski of the New York Times reported yesterday that a senior Ukrainian commander told them he had lost more than a million dollars worth of drones when Starshield went fuzzy from the slowdown. For the next three days, he had to stop almost all operations, endangering his troops by hampering their ability to stop Russian advances by striking Russian command posts and fuel hubs.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported today that officials from Rosneft, Russia’s biggest oil producer, say sanctions and Ukrainian drone strikes that are pushing deeper and deeper into Russia threaten the company’s survival. Profits for the company, which produces about a third of Russia’s oil, are falling and its debt is rising as the strikes cause fuel shortages.

Ukrainians are repeatedly hitting the refineries, one as far as 2,500 kilometers (about 1,553 miles) from the border, first damaging the structures and then destroying repairs after workers have rebuilt the structures, forcing the company to take on more and more debt as it shovels money into repairs that don’t survive. Even when it can find the money, sanctions limit its ability to replace equipment. The officials say even a few more months of war could destroy Rosneft.

The crisis explains why Putin and Trump are so desperate to stop Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s oil refineries and to lift sanctions on Russia. Rosneft’s loans from the Credit Bank of Moscow are becoming problematic, straining the bank.

In a sign this year’s writers are straining to make things as obvious as possible, Alex Horton and Dan Lamothe of the Washington Post broke the story today that in February, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth apparently decided he wanted to display in his office one of the two floor globes General Dwight D. Eisenhower used during World War II.

Eisenhower was the erudite five-star general who oversaw the Allied invasions of North Africa and Sicily before directing the Allied invasion of France and Germany as the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe. He is widely credited with developing the plans that defeated the Nazis.

After the war, Eisenhower went on to the presidency of Columbia University, where he devoted his energies to founding the American Assembly, a think tank to gather the world’s greatest minds to bring the understanding of history, foreign affairs, and philosophy to address the problems of the post–World War II world.

In 1952, when the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination vowed to cut U.S. support for the fledgling North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Eisenhower ran for president to protect the new postwar institutions that he believed were vital to global security in the face of an aggressive Soviet Union. He won the Republican nomination and then the presidency with almost 55% of the vote, retaking the White House from Democrats for the first time since 1933.

During the war, Eisenhower had visited Ohrdruf, the Nazi concentration camp that funneled prisoners to Buchenwald, a week after soldiers liberated it. He was shocked to the core. “I never dreamed that such cruelty, bestiality, and savagery could really exist in this world!” he wrote to his wife. Determined to do all he could to guarantee that such atrocities never happened again, he urged reporters and congressmen to visit the camp to ensure there were witnesses, pictures, and films to contradict anyone who might, in the future, try to deny the horrors that had taken place.

After the war, Eisenhower embraced the work of San Francisco philosopher Eric Hoffer, who explained in his 1951 book The True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements that economically or culturally dispossessed people were natural targets for political and religious extremists. They could easily be manipulated to back a demagogue who promised to resurrect a world in which they had enjoyed prosperity and cultural significance. Such a leader was dangerous enough during the Nazi era, Eisenhower thought, but with the advent of nuclear weapons in 1945, such a strongman could destroy humanity.

Eisenhower believed that it was crucial for the U.S. to build alliances and to help increase standards of living around the globe in order to prevent such a scenario. He built NATO and began the Food for Peace initiative, a program that later was absorbed into the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the same agency that Musk and Trump shredded in 2025.

In their story about Eisenhower’s globe, Horton and Lamothe reported that Hegseth was so eager to get the historic object in place that rather than waiting for trained curators to move it, as is expected for any such priceless historic artifact, Hegseth’s staff decided to retrieve it on their own.

They dropped it.

The artifact smashed into its base, and the stand impaled it, ripping a gash through the fragile globe.

It never did end up in Hegseth’s office.

It is currently undergoing repairs.

From "the other Heather", about Trump supporting Ramaswamy's ad:

https://www.heatherdelaneyreese.com/p/donald-trump-has-no-decency

The most striking part of her post for me is the following:

"Trump posted his Truth Social statement at 2:38 PM, speaking as if he was very familiar with the entirety of the ad and the outcry around it. Then, hours later, when reporters asked him more about it, Trump said: “Well, I know nothing about it.”
That leaves two deeply troubling possibilities. Either he wrote that entire post without spending thirty seconds to learn who she is and what happened to her, which raises serious questions about his judgment and responsibility as president. Or he knew, and he claimed ignorance on camera to avoid accountability, which would be a serious failure of presidential responsibility."

I would have expected Trump to just swerve this. What does he care if Ramaswamy loses, and if he is going to lose, what does he gain by supporting him? It would have been an obvious swerve and Trump would have been condemned for it, but his supporters wouldn't have cared.

Why double down?

When asked whether or not she married her brother, she said, “Not to my knowledge.” In other words, she somehow didn’t know? Therefore, because she used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must IMMEDIATELY resign from Congress. Please inform the Speaker of the House of Representatives, James Michael Johnson, that the Dumocrat Party has just conceded her seat. Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, her real name, has openly admitted to FRAUD, and she will not be legally allowed to be a Member of this August Body from this point forth. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

It's the "she married her brother" thing. And had kids, and she has COMMITTED FRAUD.

Tell you what Don. Take you conspiracy to a court of law, let a jury of her peers be presented with the evidence, and if they come back with guilty, then you can do a law through congress to BAN convicted fraudsters from public office.

I left the next paragraph of that post out. It reads:

"His former White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, has said in the past that everything Trump posts on Truth Social is “straight from the horse’s mouth” and “should be taken as the policy of the Trump administration,” and “When you see it on Truth Social, you know it’s directly from President Trump.”"
