This.
So many posters suffering from ‘Trump
Derangement Syndrome’ where they can’t get beyond their obsessive infantile knee jerk reaction against anything he does or says.

Agree. Ideology vs reality.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 28/09/2026 10:47

The notion that a Government is supposed to protect its civilian population from harm has become old fashioned. They simply don't like us and don't need us except to extract taxes from and drum up young men to fight their wars.

The reality of Trump is that on the rare occasion he’s not talking nonsense he’s lying. That’s not ideology, it’s fact.

Its also fact that we are reliant on the US to defend ourselves. Sticking it to Trump won't change that any time soon.

I don't think it's fact if you are saying he only ever talks nonsense or lies. That's opinion dressed up as fact.

Sometimes he says things that are neither nonsense nor lies. Not as often as you would expect from someone in his position but it's not unheard of.

5MinuteArgument · 28/09/2026 11:05

fatsausages · 28/09/2026 09:32

I think we should all look a little further than the end of our noses, the media have been proved to bend the truth a little, and as I said IF Trump is right then Burnham has lied to our faces.

Remember Anne Widdecombe death, how the media were so quick to tell us they had arrested a guy only 30 mins from her home, that wasn't the guy, let's see how long it takes them to name the guys that got arrested... Because if they were John, Pete, Steve and Dave it would be all over the news.

So no conspiracy theories here, just observations as sometimes things aren't quite what the media and government will have us believe.

Yes, and Iran is very easily able to embed their operatives among the young males arriving on our shores every day, very few of whom are ever deported.

We've made it so easy for our enemies to harm us.

I can’t think of a single example. Can you?

Yes, 781 mostly fighting aged males rocked up on our shores last Wednesday, helpfully escorted by border force or RNLI. We have no idea who they are.

This is a real threat to national security. Anyone with half a brain can see it.

5MinuteArgument · 28/09/2026 11:18

Desperatelyseekinglazysusan · 28/09/2026 10:39

Exactly. It's a known weak point. Half the people coming in on boats disappear completely to work for their smugglers in the drug trade. They don't even bother with the asylum system. No one can find them. If you are a hostile agent it's a massive no brainer to stick some terrorists on a boat, pay extra to make sure they were first on board and bobs your uncle. If they are caught they are stuck in a house with loads of young men with no money from who knows where, many of them Muslim, easy to be radicalised, if not they are free to do what they like and no one knows who they are. Yet Labour are fighting to get votes from a party that advocates open borders.

Agreed, the asylum racket is a major national security risk.

One day our idiotic generosity will turn round to bite us on the bum, big time.

Is that why on the world stage leaders flock to get near him, only had to watch Starmer try his best to be important next to Trump, and Trump pushed him away like the fool he was.

Love him or hate him , he IS the most important and powerful leader in the world.

Yes how can it not be, checks are scant and in some cases not possible.

TemperanceWest · 28/09/2026 11:24

The police are apparently going to release more information later today. It will be good to have some facts available.

What's the betting they won't tell us names or nationally, hope I'm wrong , but somehow I think they won't, they know the fall out will be huge if they do. We all know who they are!

luy · 28/09/2026 11:44

we’ve massively underestimated the numbers flooding in, who disappear as they don’t enter the asylum system. They get cash in hand work. There are sleeper cells right now, waiting to attack. We’re at risk of an imminent Iran sponsored attack. They hate us and our way of life.
We’ve been told by progressives that we need to be kind and let them in as they wouldn’t risk their lives to come here. Yeah, rubbish, they’re doing it in huge numbers and effectively.

Yes, the fall out will be huge amongst those who like to blame a whole group of people for the crimes of a minority. SM will no doubt be a bonfire of hate. It probably is already.

It’s a chaotic system lacking security and vetting. It’s also dangerous for the people using it, three more people died trying this morning.

Made more embarrassing where the obsession with Trump is accompanied by childish orange nicknames.

Agree. I’m not a fan of everything Trump does, but find all the orange-related nicknames a bit silly.
Or when people say he’s exactly as bad as Putin.

It's possible to guess what happened here in a way that fits in with what all the different parties are saying.

I can understand why the police don't want to release information too early.

True, and if anyone thinks they're going to get much if any real fine detail today of what happened Sunday AM they are going to be dissapointed.

One day????
Tell that to all the victims of rape and remains of murder victims!
Is already harkened and we are pushing a huge price (not only financial tho that in itself is scandalously high) but on the moss of greediness we used to take for granted.

Ridiculous. Our enemy isn't Trump. He's got a lot wrong with him but he's still our biggest ally.

I didn't mean to minimise the rapes and murders that have already happened.

I meant I think our lax borders will lead to a major terrorist incident (although I know major terrorist incidents have already happened).

ilovebrie8 · 28/09/2026 12:40

The five men are apparently British nationals from London.
