Good thing most people don’t distrust the government and MSM and it’s confined to a few conspiracy theorists then.

Have you got a source for that.
How many trust/ don’t trust the government.
Its way more than a few random conspiracy theorists don’t trust the government.

This has just happened a very serious attack foiled, and today they announce they want to bring in fast track routes for Afghans and Palestinians.

Utter madness, I can’t believe this is being allowed.

Edited

This isn't true, you are not helping your cause, and your valid, legitimate, concerns by spreading misinformation. The scheme is open to the following:

  • Afghan women and girls, particularly those considered vulnerable or at risk.
  • Palestinian refugees, including people with particularly serious protection or medical needs (For example, this would include people who fought with the US/UK against terrorist groups and are therefore now targets.
  • Other vulnerable refugees, including people with disabilities and victims of torture (again victims of torture because of the risk they posed to terrorist groups who they were working against or those who rebelled against terrorist organisations for example).

People will be identified through organisations such as the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) rather than simply being able to apply because they are Afghan or Palestinian.

Your post is missing context and detail and that doesn't help you in bringing others who might disagree, towards your view on this.

Work visas are a different system. It doesn’t have to be a blasé ‘some kill others’ for any system of entry.

Yes work visas I know - but some asylum seekers are drs too though - could be you have been treated by one who since gained leave.
I’m not blasé about murder - but I’m saying how humans are both fortunately at times and very unfortunately at others.

Hang on- you missed out my conspiracy theory that it was either Prince William or Harry and Meghan behind it all.

Definitely compelling evidence given Harry has only just recently moved to the Cotswolds.

Apologies. It's a green lizard attack on home soil.

I thought they used the name of an actual company in Sheffield but got the telephone number wrong. Maybe their logo was in red.

Ah it’s a Nationwide company.
They are not best pleased to have been dragged into this and have put a statement out on their website.

TokyoSushi · 28/09/2026 17:57

I think this will all turn out to be not very much. I think there was a credible threat towards the base, this was not actually it but everybody initially thought that it was, the men released on bail were potentially in the area for some sort of low level(ish) crime, fuel theft or the like.

I suppose the ‘real’ threat people will just have to stand down, for now at least.

TemperanceWest · 28/09/2026 17:57

This thread is bananas.

Everyone was earlier rightly very concerned and scared this was an attempted terrorist attack. Now we know it isn't, surely everyone is very relieved and also pleased that whatever these men were up to, they have been caught?

I’m sure there’s a better system than shrugging over deaths to get access to doctors.

JustSawJohnny · 28/09/2026 17:58

LOLing at all the 'patriots' on here getting all whipped up about brown people wanting to kill us and now the 5 people arrested are being released on bail already.

Because they're clearly not terrorists.

Better start thinking of a way to spin diesel stealing as an immigrant problem, QUICK!!!

It most certainly exposes the thoughts of those who don't like the current government.

Probably a better system than bombing parts of the world then wondering why folk make their way here too.

I do not shrug off people’s deaths btw - I have only saud how horrific they are.

WhitegreeNcandle · 28/09/2026 18:00

1dayatatime · 28/09/2026 16:25

It's looking like they might have out stealing fuel (diesel and petrol) from farm and rural home storage (hence the drums). They were then disturbed transferring it between the vans when all hell broke loose from counter terrorism.

Probably not a good idea to be committing any illegal activity 300 metres from a major US airbase.

That said if this story comes out then there will be many conspiracy theorists dismissing it as a cover up.

Haven’t read the full thread but this happens all the time on farms. With the price of diesel rocketing it does make sense.

Does nobody here watch "Lioness'? The perpetrators dont necessarily come from the nation behind it.

Over-enthusiastic stag dos aren't illegal, so I doubt it was that, no. They were obviously up to no good, but it wasn't a terrorist plot.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 28/09/2026 14:37

You should absolutely not phone the police to report a crime. Naughty lady farmer!!

Never said she shouldn’t have.

GentleSheep · 28/09/2026 17:57

I think they may have been fly tipping-or stealing diesel-that's been suggested on other sites- and racist attitudes drove the rest of the narrative.

Plenty of people comparing them to the man who was refused bail for slashing a dingy that was supposedly empty but again, that's the far right adjacent narrative.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 28/09/2026 18:04

MsJinks · 28/09/2026 17:43

The murder of Rhiannon is not alright and no one said so.

There are good/ bad people everywhere- this is life.

I was pointing out there will be some immigrants saving lives as well as the odd one taking a life.

This horrific murder does not equal all asylum claimants are murderers.

But that’s not the point though.
People are rightly not happy about murders and rapes by asylum seekers and no amount of gaslighting is going to change that.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 28/09/2026 18:05

achristmaswish · 27/09/2026 17:39

Maybe intelligence had informed Government of something potentially happening. Saying that if that was the case the intelligence couldn't have been that good if it was a member of the public who reported today's events.

Could have been great and they were waiting for the perfect time to catch multiple participants, all barely after the hero of the day decided to post in the village Whatsapp chat.

It certainly does. Tractor stealing is also a problem. Don't get me started on bodies buried in disused parts of farms and old storages.

I wondered when the we are all racists was coming. Heaven forbid you can talk about terrorist suspicion without being told we are disappointed because it's not the brown people doing it.

Where do all these people go? The extra burden on the NHS will crucify it.

The farmer must be feeling worried now. She was on TV saying the police haven’t followed up with her.
One minute she is being praised now she’s being turned upon 🤔

She's got nothing to reproach herself about.

It is crystal clear that you weren't shrugging off people's deaths, Ms Jinks. It is really unpleasant and unfair to imply you were and there is no need for it.

So where does Trump fit in with all this? "We've been watching these diesel thieves for quite some time! Scotland Yard were very helpful.." 🙄
