Feel a bit sore throaty and that a cold is about to hit but also feel like it's not taken over yet, like I'm on top of it. Is it possible to actually fight a cold off before it fully takes?

Have been eating extra well with lots of veg and high quality protein and just had a fizzy vitimin. What else can I do?

Sambucal from holland and barret works wonders at preventing colds

I used to work with someone who went to the steam room at the local gym every time she got a cold so I assumed the worst when I read your post. Sorry.

No worries, I didn't even think of that until you posted - definitely wouldn't be ok to go to a public sauna when ill! But when you have your own, its a panacea, as the saying goes "if sauna, spirits, or tar don't cure it, the disease is fatal"

Eat a raw garlic clove. This really works. Dint crush it. Chop it and wait five to ten minutes.

On Sunday I was with a friend who had a cold. Yesterday afternoon I started by sneezing and then with a dull ache in my throat which told me I was getting it. Took a shot of FD then and before bed and this morning I’m totally fine.

I use the Vicks first defence spray. It works for me.
