Returned home to find my pear tree (back garden) stripped clean. No sign of any on the ground or anywhere nearby. I am gutted!!!! It was my best ever crop and those pears were a thing of beauty. Any ideas if any bird or animal could have done this is such an efficient and successful way?

Birds , squirrels ? Not the same but I have a massive cherry tree and by massive I mean over a 3 store house height . Cherries all vanished while we visited a friend for 2 days . All ! Not a single one to be seen

Squirrels are very efficient in numbers. We had two walnut trees laden with walnuts. In a matter of 48 hours there wasn’t one walnut left! Last year we had loads of them.

I've got a mental image of something out of a Percy the Parkkeeper books...

Oh, that has awakened (lovely!😍😍) childhood memories… thank you!

I’m thinking more Mr Fantastic Fox

or maybe Shaun the Sheep - do sheep like pears?
