Henry Cavill is someone who I can see is technically very good-looking but for me he lacks the charisma that makes someone like Newman or Redford or even a young Depp or Pitt so attractive.

The thing with Bowie is that he's absolutely replete with charisma but isn't actually all that beautiful. Attractive, sure, transfixing even. Not not beautiful.

I think much the same about Cillian Murphy and David Bowie, they sort of have an not entirely human, extra terrestrial look. I'm not sure it is what most people recognise as human beauty, althought they of course are.

For the later comments about AI, I have the book about the US Civil War that went with Ken Burn's amazing series and while I can't find this young man, there are many similar photos, some with names, most without so I doubt it's AI.
