What household chores do you dislike doing most?

What are your pet hates when doing chores around the house ?

Hate peeling potatoes but weirdly love grating cheese .

Hate when you take out the washing from the machine and find you've left a tissue in a pocket and it's all over the clothes ( is that my fault for not checking or theirs for leaving one in ?
Cleaning windows.

Cleaning skirting boards .

Taking out the rubbish

I'm sure I'll agree with a load of yours as well .

Cleaning the larger filter on the tumble dryer
Cleaning the toilets
Changing all the beds especially during the four recent heatwvaes!

Putting the clean washing away. I like the actual washing and drying bit though.

Emptying the dishwasher! Totally thankless task as the kitchen looks just the same once it’s done 🤬

I hate most of it. Especially the never-ending, relentless indoor stuff: cooking, cleaning, tidying, sorting, planning, replenishing. And that’s with my other family members objectively doing their fair share. I’m just the polar opposite of domestically minded, I guess. If I could afford it, I’d outsource it all to someone who knows what they’re doing (and presumably likes it enough to have made it their job). Sadly, Amazon subscriptions and robot hoovers can only do so much.

I’m all right with DIY and cutting the grass (hate all other gardening as well though).

Emptying the dishwasher and putting shopping away. Everything else I don't mind.

I hate doing floors . I love seeing a freshly vacuumed carpet in a tidy room. Unfortunately that is a rarity in this house as the room tidying takes all my energy and the floors have to wait until next time. Maybe.
i have seriously considered getting a cleaner in just to do the floors properly once a week.

I dislike all housework, but putting the washing away is my all time worst task. I can get it in the machine and then the tumble dryer/hang it out no problem. But putting it away can sometimes take me days to muster the energy to do!

Changing the beds. Hate it. I’ve broken both shoulders in separate accidents in the last 5 years. That was my cue for having a valid reason for getting out of it and getting my husband to do it but it only works for so long!!!! Now I have to do my share!

Cleaning the bathroom, that has been assigned to DH. I would rather do anything else.

Cleaning the bin out, for obvious reasons 🤢

Sweeping our bedroom carpet. We have a very old carpet in our bedroom that is in desperate need of replacing. Hair and fluff just seems to stick to it and our hoover won't pick it up, so I have to go very heavy handed with a silicone broom to sweep it all up for the hoover. My poor back will never be the same.

I hate all housework especially dusting...its such a thankless task and once its done the bloody dust has the cheek to reappear.

Folding and putting away laundry

Unloading dishwasher

I mean just about everything. Cleaning the bathroom. I really hate changing the duvet cover so resolved that by getting a cover less one.

Ironing.
Mopping the floors.
Dusting.

Hoovering.
I had a Henry and the bloody thing kept tipping over and the flex kept tangling up. It was just too heavy for me to lug up and down stairs so on Tuesday I bought a cordless Shark and am now actually enjoying hoovering.

Picking up a little bits of things that fall on the floor

Changing the duvet cover. I have read on here there are quilts that you don’t have to change the cover on but not sure how that works?

Anything in a hurry.
I quite enjoy doing most chores if I can take my time, but if I'm in a rush, it stops being satisfying.

Duvet covers.. hate them

I don't have a whole lot of chores but I hate hanging out washing on the line, don't know why, just don't like doing it.

Putting the bins out. It's all gross and you have to go outside at a usually inconvenient time of day. Considering that it takes all of 1 minute I'm not quite sure why I hate it so much but I do.

I quite like ironing and most types of cleaning.

Cleaning the kitchen / doing the dishes after dinner. DH does this, thank god. I’ve always loathed it and couldn’t tell you why exactly. I think it’s the time of day I’m most exhausted.

Dusting and mopping here.

Shame because they both make a massive visible difference - more than the bathroom

Putting the washing away I'm happy to do the washing. I just can't stand putting it away x

Turning wet clothes the right way in, in order to hang them up, hate putting my hand in a wet sleeve
Hate hanging up a massive, wet, king size duvet cover, seems to take ages to get it right on the line.
Taking the bin bag all the way to the black in in the drive. Because although I can do the bin, bag it up, I open the front door and just put it on the door step 'for later' because those extra 5 steps to the actual black bin are just beyond me.
