What jobs do your husbands do if you are SAHM

following on from another similar thread today, what jobs do your husbands do if you are a SAHM?

Primary school teacher.

Accountant

Another accountant.

I'm not a SAHM any more, but I was for nine years.

DH was not a particularly high earner but we cut our cloth so I could stay home with DC.

We're beefing up our pensions now we're empty nesters/mortgage free. Just saying this because women are always warned against being a SAHM but you can always catch up if you want to.

Head of Product at an insurance company…. No clue what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another in the accountancy world. Finance director now, but basically a glorified accountant.

Lawyer. Our pension pots and ISA savings are identical within a few hundred pounds as he’s always topped mine up to equalise his.

University lecturer.

Army

I am an accountant/auditor and DH was a SAHD for a few years when DS was little.. he’s now returned to work.

Another accountant - a partner.

Sales Director.

Haha mine is an accountant too! Though I was a SAHM when married to my ex who was an arsehole. His job was a management consultant.

We both work full time now, but when the kids were younger he worked in a contact centre while I was a sahm. We only managed due to having subsidized rent, no car, no loans or credit cards, and living hand to mouth.
It was worth it for us, but not easy.

He puts ‘chartered accountant’ on forms, but he’s a senior finance director at a FTSE100.

Clearly I should have done my accountancy finals… but I bloody hated it.

I did a few years at home when the kids were tiny. Dh worked in the coop . We had no money at all ! Looking back I don’t know how we survived. He earned £815 a month and our mortgage was £650 ! ( in case you didn’t guess , we bought the year before the crash- originally we were offered double the mortgage 😱

I have been a teaching assistant for 10 years now and he’s a bus driver. One kid is off to uni 🤞 in a fortnight and we can smell the end of the mortgage.

Owns an emergency tradesman agency so works fully from home.
