Saw this for sale in the interior design department at a farm shop attraction. I’m wondering if anyone can help me understand the aesthetic (and the price tag?)

Would you buy this lampshade?

It looks like an elephant’s leg after they’ve walked through the snow.

BaronessBomburst · 14/08/2026 16:42

No 🤣

MingingRunnersFeet · 14/08/2026 16:43

I think I’d buy two … symmetry is important to me …

Hoodle · 14/08/2026 16:44

And it’s a no from me.

Why the fuck would anyone buy that?

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 14/08/2026 16:53

Well I suppose you could get away with not dusting it, since that's already the look!

ownedbymydogs · 14/08/2026 17:02

I’m guessing Daylesford Organics farm shop?!

Whatwillbewilbe · 14/08/2026 17:02

That is one ugly lampshade. Awful.

DuckWrap · 14/08/2026 17:03

It looks like something my kids would make at school.

And now I know I can put them to good use and then charge people £350 for their work…

Not in a million years 🫣

YouSawBrigadoon · 14/08/2026 17:07

That is fucking horrendous.

Nofeckingway · 14/08/2026 17:07

It looks like a Blue Peter project gone wrong .

PoohneedsaPimms · 14/08/2026 17:08

That’s hideous!!

Whiteleaftrainers · 14/08/2026 17:09

I would not, not even if it was free.

Perhaps it’s the same principle
as “some dresses don’t look good on the hanger”? Maybe in the right setting it’s cool?

I was going to say a cast for an elephant with a broken leg...

MelonSorbet · 14/08/2026 17:11

Jeezo, that's awful! Somebody had a sack, some leftover paint and delusions!

Nousernameideaaga · 14/08/2026 17:16

No it’s fucking hideous

Cant imagine what aesthetic it’s going for either .

ginasevern · 14/08/2026 17:17

Looks like something I'd make given the challenge, and I'm completely talentless in that department.

If only it was paint. the label claims it’s mud. Close to it resembled the stuff they put on walls when making authentic medieval buildings…

TheBayHorse · 14/08/2026 17:19

Hell no. If they paid me £350 I might agree to take it away.

Is the shop called Hygge Tygge?

GoldTie · 14/08/2026 18:06

Wattle and daub chic, for the houseproud shack owner.

BoarBrush · 14/08/2026 18:13

Where the hell would you even put it? It doesn't even belong in a shed.

Yes, and you know what they put in that mud to make it stick to walls, don't you?

Cow shit. 😁
