Has anyone else been following the lindsay clancy trial? What is everyone thinkin? I dont think she done it

The searches were carried out on her log in details on the computer while she was at the doctors surgery. He admitted to searching one of the things that were in between the carotid search and the suicide search I believe.

im not sure either way but there are so many holes in his timeline, and other than her confession although she does not remember doing it what other evidence against her is there?

I think anyone who has formed this opinion after seeing all the evidence presented so far doesn’t understand mental illness in the slightest.

People have different responses to trauma and grief. But then again he's a man and this is Mumsnet so he must to blame somehow.....

Needing to be in complete control especially when you have young children can be a way of trying to cope and ground yourself when you're struggling badly. I was exactly like this when I had PND. Thankfully I was given the right medication and was listened to by my GP (sometimes the NHS is better). I recognise and identify with a lot of what LC was feeling and suffering from.

Yes this! It's clear PC was trying to keep his emotions under control so he didn't have a complete breakdown on the stand. Reporters have talked about the gaps in the court footage when recording needs to stop when he would clearly be in distress and trying to compose himself. He's clearly a broken man.

That both he and his parents are STILL completely supportive of Lindsay after what happened proves this is a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided if she was given the right medical care.

Why is it a poor understanding of mental health??

She sounds a fucking horror. Controlling, manipulative both to her doctors and people around her. Refers to the murders as “her incident” not a single shred of responsibility for what she did.

There are plenty of murderers who have been in secure units, Peter Sutcliffe, Dale Cregan, Valdo Calocane in the UK and the often mentally unwell, predominantly male, people who shoot up schools in America. Why is no one painting them as failed by the system or poor little victims?

I think the fact that the police arrived at the house to 3 dead children, a bloody and hideously wounded woman who, according to the first responders was unconscious and unable to speak and the uninjured man on the scene said "she did it" they all just went with it.
Let him enter the crime scene, touch the children, contaminate the evidence etc.
Children then cremated.

It appears his NYC trips for work might have also been part of a long running affair.
He received 1.7 million from the go fund me, sold the house under market value (that part pretty understandable) to someone who was then a DA.
He moved to NYC a few months later to an apartment in a building owned by his new wife's father.
Went on a hiking trip to Costa Rica a few months later and posted glowing reviews.
Married a rich doctor who looks startlingly like Lindsay.
He does come across to me as cold.

I didn't find the evidence about her notes about the children's care etc controlling-her nanny said she was a loving mother.
I felt like she was trying so hard to hang on and wasn't getting the help she needed.
I still cringe to remember the large and incredibly detailed notebook I left my own DM who was looking after my PFB for a weekend.

I’ve seen this morning women mostly, lining her route into court and taking photos.
beside anything else this is a mentally unwell person, that should just not be happening. It’s crazy.
I think she was very unwell and very let down and some of her doctors were so arrogant on tbe stand , but I also think she needs a prison sentence or where do we stop when murderers say it wasn’t me I was in psychosis. The whole case is tragic and it’s become a witch hunt for her ex husband and in some stories his new wife. Bottom line is Lindsay killed her three children one by one and that should carry some punishment

See, in any investigation the police must follow all reasonable lines of enquiry. I haven't seen any proof they had.

His devices were never examined, his car was never examined, and now there's whole swathes of people, some very educated in medical fields, casting doubt on the story being told. The timeline does not make sense, her HR at the time of the murders does not make sense, his behaviour does not make sense. The only person who was of sound mind who claims to have heard her confession was him. The man who very quickly started a whole new life with someone he very obviously started an affair with before the murders. The man who has admitted to using her devices to search for things. What nurse needs to google search where the carotid artery is for God's sake.

Police make mistakes, remember Gaby Petito. The Internet sleuths found her body before the police could even be bothered to open up a police investigation. Jon Benet Ramsey has never had justice because of a botched police investigation, OJ Simpson anyone? Nancy Guthrie has still not been found and is likely to never be found thanks to inept police. It happens.

He also had his phone records sealed.
Who does that in search of justice????

The while thing has been investigated so badly it's no wonder people are looking at it and it is falling apart under scrutiny...

All I can find is he asked for the 911 call not to be played outside of court. His phone is there for the defence. We’ve seen the text messages sent between him and LC.

No, her phone has been examined. The messages shown between the two are exhibits from her device.

I think all of the messages we have seen are from her phone.

And that he agreed to testify if his were sealed.

Nowhere has it been stated that PC had asked for his phone records to be sealed. But even if he had, he’s not on trial.

As for thinking that the police just rocked up and took someone’s word, it’s completely ridiculous to suggest that yet alone believe it. Turning up to a house with an unconscious woman and two deceased and one seriously injured child it would stand to reason that the person making the call would automatically be considered the first suspect.

Was under the belief that PC's phone records were seen by the police and that it was deemed not to make them public, similar to the 911 call, however the court and jury would have seen and listened.

Naturally PC would have been No1 suspect when the police arrived.

There was this case about a woman found dead at the foot of a narrow staircase. Her husband called 911. Despite him saying he wasn't in the house, he was outside by the pool in a large garden, and didn't witness the event, he was immediately deemed a suspect.

That is not what happened here.
The arrest warrant for Lindsay was issued whilst she was till unconscious and she awoke, from what I understand, in the hospital paralysed and handcuffed to the bed.

Why the need to handcuff a paralysed person to a hospital bed?

Same reason why female prisoners are handcuffed to hospital beds witn active spinals and during labour. Because the police/prison staff are dumb.

It's an added form of punishment if already in prison. And it's sick.

Arresting a suspect when already in hospital and paralysed from the sternum down at that stage is incomprehensible. What happened to innocent until found guilty? Did they really believe she was a flight risk?

Mental health services are absolutely terrible in the UK.

I agree. Yes she is unwell, obviously very let down, but the reality is 3 little children are dead, murdered by their own parent. It makes me sick to my stomach.
