If you are going to suggest that I'm aggressive over many threads without quoting and changing it to harsh, then it's not a fair discussion.

And you certainly are not being good natured in bringing that up.

Personally I have no idea what you are talking about re the telly addicts, which has multiple threads.

I'm going have my dinner/supper now and watch again the first series of Ludwig.

All I wanted was to know why you didn’t think this should have gone to trial. That’s all.

And yet you descended into describing how I post aggressively on other threads. Do you want me to take your question in good faith now?

Ok. I did ask you more than once. You avoided the question which is fine. You don’t have to respond obviously. I was just interested. But all good. Enjoy Ludwig - can’t wait for the new series!

I just think he did it. Told her and everyone on the scene she did it. And they all just accepted that. And then she told staff later she did and a 'mans voice' told her she did. Yeh - HIS!

And all this hasn't been questioned, its just been accepted. Even by her. She has zero memory of it!

I also think Big Kev knows she didn't do it.

I may be projecting here - but I had a psychotic break. My disgusting ex could have convinced me of anything at that time. I mean he convinced me (indirectly) to try to top myself and that I was an awful, horrible mother and daughter and person. I just think there is more to this.

Sorry I couldn't ignore this. I'm sorry you had this experience; I hope you are safe and happy now x

@seanconneryseyebrow I had similar. I had pnd and my ex was a psychiatric nurse and then when he got unwell he convinced his work and counsellor that I was going mad and he was fine. Nobody believed me and he was allowed to carry on working despite having a history of being sectioned previously and having ect. It was only once they witnessed him endangering our toddler and I and hearing what he was saying that was crazy (hate that word but can’t think of another one) that anybody stepped in.And that took 8 months. I genuinely believe he could have convinced anyone of anything. I honestly thought I was the one going mad because nobody believed me about his behaviour. and he hid it so well. 12 years later he is still in a psychiatric hospital.

NeverLookInTheMirror · 16/08/2026 21:30

It’s very clear that one poster in particular is just here to be contrary and to disagree with everyone.

Best ignored ..

As for the comment on why someone should go to trial, suggesting that someone can essentially say “yeah, I killed them, was insane so couldn’t help it” and they should be set free is pure idiocy.

It’s a common fact that some of the most heinous criminals have pleaded in sanity to some of the most horrific crimes in order to escape the trial process. And many if not most of them have been firstly been deemed fit to stand trial, and secondly have then been found guilty of murder and served prison sentences rather than be sent to psychiatric institutions.

It’s taken three years to come to this. People seem to think that she just confessed and they took her word for it, no evidence, no investigation, nothing. There will have been investigations happening, there will be valid reasons why this came to trial.

Personally I think she’s guilty as sin.

NowIsTheWinterOfOurDiscontent · 16/08/2026 21:34

Haven't RTWFT sorry.

Apparently when LC was wailing "I can't do this", half the jury was crying also. One of the prosecution lawyers looked at them and "realised she's lost the case" according to one reporter.

Questions:

  1. Do we think Lindsay will give evidence?

  2. There are "peaceful demos" in London and Liverpool at 12.45pm this Thurs (and in other cities round the world esp Plymouth Mass). Is anyone else thinking of organising any other UK ones?

You can also use the link above to post a message of support for LC. I 100000% think her legal team will be reading those.

Who is the one poster? Everybody has the right to post here and shouldn’t be shut down even if you disagree with them

Indeed.

@NeverLookInTheMirrorthis is not your forum and you cannot tell people to ignore certain posters because they disagree with you. Your contributions are the most unpleasant on this thread.

Personally , I think it’s very obvious SHE didn’t do it. That’s my opinion and certainly a lot of others , including the legal eagles involved that know a hell of a lot more than you do.

MintChocolate123 · 17/08/2026 20:08

This case is horrific. I keep thinking about it. After my second I was definitely not myself due to his atrocious sleep and I had horrible intrusive thoughts.

Emotionstorn · 18/08/2026 20:23

I’m really struggling to find sympathy for LC. I find her insanely manipulative

MintChocolate123 · 18/08/2026 21:07

In what way?

I do as well. The baby monitor at work, the note to the nanny, the not wanting PC’s parents to watch the children. All little things which remind me of someone who needs complete control.

So you agree she's insane, which is exactly her defense plea.

Yep.
A control freak who wanted to commit suicide but wouldn’t leave her children to be brought up by anyone else outside of her control

Zero sympathy, a master manipulator who’s pulling the strings now with her emotional outbursts during prosecution speech only. Managed to hold it together fine today when Reddington was essentially demonstrating how she tied the knots. Defence detailed her children’s injuries not a flicker of emotion. The second the prosecution detailed the autopsy she’s wailing and disrupting court.

Evil evil woman.

I think this is true but I also believe that sort of behaviour is true of a lot of high achieving type women who find themselves completely overwhelmed with motherhood- that’s exactly how I felt and behaved too. But obviously I didn’t go on to murder my kids and neither do a lot of other similar women. I don’t think any of that can be used as an indicator of whether she was insane or not. Just that yes she was used to being in control and was struggling with the chaos that small children bring.

Savvysix1984 · 19/08/2026 01:21

Lindsay was a mother with significant psychiatric difficulties. This wasn’t someone who tried to claim it afterwards. It was all documented. She was failed by medics and pumped with pills.
Her family talk about her mental deterioration, and describe her as a loving and caring mother. Her mother and sister described increasing paranoia, anxiety, withdrawal and suicidal thinking. Her MIL described her as a loving, nurturing mother who was essentially begging for help.

I have experience of working with families of people who died by suicide and almost without exception they say they were ‘normal’ beforehand. I think people are able to hide their extreme level of distress. Even professionals. Tragic case on all accounts.

Tell us you’ve not been watching the trial without telling us 🙄 PC is another CW!

I think, based on the actual events it’s Lindsay that’s the CW. You know with the whole “murdering their kids” thing?

I think what’s missing is people recognising this. There is this outpouring of sympathy for her. These outrageous assumptions that KR is doing anything other than proving her not criminally responsible for killing her children.

This case was suppose to be about recognising where it went wrong and what pregnancy, hormones and PND can do and turn into without proper medical care.

I do think she was completely insane. I also think she shows a lot of narcissistic behaviour,
I do mainly take that from Dr Shah’s testimony and things I have heard mentioned since.

Emotionstorn · 19/08/2026 10:57

I think she’s a sociopath personally.

mojojojoo · 19/08/2026 16:02

Didn’t she voluntarily check herself out of a psyche ward? And denied having thought of harming herself or others? Just days before killing her children ?

If you mean the 5th January discharge then no she didn’t check herself out. She was allowed to leave and didn’t go against medical advice.
