What do you think you can eat in limitless amount and have you ever tried? 😂🤮

For me:

Lidl bakery brownie - not tried, but I think I need to learn my limit
Tiramisu - tried, failed after a few decent table spoonfuls
Smoked salmon - not tried, expensive
Blue cheese - not tried, too scared

DD (26) is the same with salmon and tiramisu, we did the tiramisu together last year. She was making bold claims about coleslaw and sauerkraut, but not sure if there was any action.

After 2 years on mounjaro and 6 stone off my eyes think I can eat huge amounts but my stomach revolts after a few spoonfuls.
My stomach has shrunk.
I end up throwing the binge food in the bin.

Jaffa Cakes.

MeAndMyGhost · 05/08/2026 18:47

Lime doritos.

Doesn't even touch the sides.

MargaretMeldrew · 05/08/2026 18:47

Cheese and crackers. Particularly Red Leicester cheese.
Morelli’s honeycomb ice cream. It’s an NI brand, started decades ago by an Italian immigrant, God bless him😅 It’ll be the death of me. Especially when it’s on offer in Tesco.

Flipflopflipflapper · 05/08/2026 18:54

-Salted peanuts-can’t stop once the bag is open so only buy a bag at Xmas now as a treat.
-hobnobs; have to get hubby to hide half open packet somewhere I can’t easily find it. but then it’s like a biscuit based treasure hunt which is even more exciting! Ugh

Steamed dumplings (Chinese ones not suet). I reckon I could eat hundreds of those. Delicious.

7catsisnotenough · 05/08/2026 19:07

Maltesers....the sad noise the last few make when they're rolling around the nearly empty box 😢

BarbaraVineFan · 05/08/2026 19:09

Cheese and onion crisps! I ate three packets last night and could only stop myself by going to bed 😂 I should not buy multipacks!

Doyouthinktheyknow · 05/08/2026 19:12

Lotus biscuits
Toast with butter and marmite
Tony’s chocolonely sea salt and caramel
Percy pigs

It’s never healthy stuff is it🫣

IsItTimeToRetireYet · 05/08/2026 19:14

The M&S version of Jaffa cakes, the mini versions in particular. I’ve never tested how many I could eat but I expect it would be a lot!

EarringsandLipstick · 05/08/2026 19:15

Cadbury’s Giant chocolate buttons. Only v cold from the fridge.

I don’t like Cadbury’s chocolate & don’t eat in other forms. But I really really like the giant buttons, eaten as I describe.

To limit myself I only buy the large bags when on offer; but I have a 6th sense when any supermarket is having an offer and am drawn there, far too often.

HermioneWeasley · 05/08/2026 19:18

Pizza express Dough balls and garlic butter. I might try and see how many I can get through the next time they have one of their bottomless offers on.

EarringsandLipstick · 05/08/2026 19:18

And in answer to your question, have I tried?

kind of. As in I’ve bought large bags (eg 3 for x amount) on offer & have eaten them v rapidly. Not great.

MeAndMyGhost · 05/08/2026 18:47

Lime doritos.

Doesn't even touch the sides.

Have you tried making nachos with them? Spoon over some salsa on the doritos in an oven dish, mix it up a bit so it's fairly even, then dump fistfuls of grated cheese all over and put in the oven until it's melted and browning.

Dunk into sour cream and scoff.

I've discovered the epitome of luxury versions of giant buttons. You have to like your chocolate slightly salted, though.

Bakeittillyoumakeit · 05/08/2026 19:21

I'm with you when it comes to Lidl Brownies OP, their millionaires shortbread is amazing too.

BlindGuyMcSqueezy · 05/08/2026 19:22

I’m a right greedy sod so can eat a lot of most things I love. But I think my most impressive was years ago when cadburys used to do dairy milk with biscuit pieces.
Woolworths (that’s how long ago we’re talking) had a special deal where the large bars were 50% extra free. I bought 3 and ate all 3 one after the other washed down with pints of milk. I didn’t even feel that sick.

To be fair that was a bit of wake up call to my chocoholism and I did calm down after that.

JohnBullshit · 05/08/2026 19:26

Crisps. I can't bear the thought of not having any in the house, and I have to draw on large reserves of self-discipline not to gorge on them every day. You'd never guess at the self-discipline from the size of my arse, but it's there.
