Just flicking through TV channels came to QVC and they have
Santa's Secret Finds under £40 on.
I know some start shopping early but summer holidays have just started.
This is madness, its not in the shops already is it ?

Yes. QVC does Christmas in July every year . They want to make sales and some people buy early to spread the cost.

Yep, Christmas in July is a Thing. I used to adore the July TSVs. Happy days.

Even Eastenders have a story line focused around ‘1/2 Christmas’. Blinking ridiculous!

I've noticed of late that they never go away. They re-brand occasionally. For example, they were being marketed as football watching snacks in my Tesco recently but they've been readily available all year. It is peculiar but in some places, they just haven't gone away this year. See also M&S and their munch tins. They used to be Christmas only but they rebranded them for Valentine's and Father's Day and now they're available year round. Since 2024 apparently when M&S realised they could make more money by having them out all year.

Takes the joyous edge off a wee bit having them perpetually available.

It's known as 'Christmas in July'. It's for early Christmas shoppers. Originally started in the States. There are TV channels showing Christmas movies too. It'll be over by August!

I expect Christmas will be in UK shops by October though! 🎄
