Sad news, only 7 weeks after the announcement of his cancer Kevin Keegan has died. Condolences to his family

I had a sticker of him which came out of a cereal box. I was only about 4 and I stuck it on the side of my doll's pram!

He was a larger than life footballer wasn’t he.
Always around. It’s sad his manager job for England didn’t go well , but he was a brilliant player and had iconic hair too. He seemed one of the good ones.

I don’t think people who didn’t live through the 70s/early 80s will realise how massive Kevin was. Footballer at some huge clubs , on adverts, captaincy of England. The impact he had was huge -EVERYONE knew who he was.

Hero for young lads, poster pin up for girls with that mass of dark Curley hair.
Husband supports Southampton-so adores Keegan. DD supports NUFC so I’ll have misery from both of them today.
And I won’t deny -I’ve shed a tear. It’s part of my childhood gone.

Yes, I was just trying to explain to much younger colleagues, if you think Harry Kane is well known now, that's nothing compared to the household name that was Kevin Keegan.

Ah, my first footballer crush back in the 70s!

RIP to a fabulous football legend who I was lucky enough to see play his magic once and beat my home team, he played so brilliantly that even though we lost we left the ground beaming 😁
