Now my DH, but met him when we were both co-opted to the same community action campaign

At my friends wedding! I was very lucky to get invited because I must admit we weren’t particularly close and had fallen out previously! It was a gorgeous wedding and I’m forever grateful to have been included by her. She didn’t want me to be left out, I know she was just being kind, and my life improved thanks to her kindness. Been happily married for years and have twins!

No I approached him we have been married now for 13 years!

At an after work social/sport event.

Someone arranged matches with other large employers in our town and we met at one of them. Played against each other and then got chatting at the after match drinks.

Set up by his best mate and best mate's girlfriend. We've been together since 1989.

Through politics. Married him 35 years ago.

I’m a support worker and being with someone who ‘gets’ what I do is incredible.

University. Other friends have met their partners/spouses through friends, work, sports, at an awards ceremony, in an airport, playing chess in a park in Paris, doing the Ballymaloe cookery course, while working on a cruise ship, at church, and in a nightclub.

He was by brothers best mate. We have been married for 30 years.
