It's time we got rid of the likes of Trump and Farage who build their wealth whilst taking advantage of their positions of power. They should be serving the public not increasing their bank balance.

People of Clacton you have a chance to stand up and say no to corruption. Kick Farage out.

@Thundertoast they have the option to carry on with the investigation if he loses

LaurieFairyCake · 08/07/2026 08:27

It’s FANTASTIC! Best thing that’s ever happened. It’s literally a proper FUCK YOU to corruption. I cannot wait to see cunt Farages face when he loses.

VOTE BINFACE !

AllJoyAndNoFun · 08/07/2026 07:09

Honestly, no. While I agree with you on NF and in the face of Lab and Cons saying they wont stand a candidate it's tempting, voting Binface would effectively leave Clacton without an MP and we don't need more farce in parliament. We need adults. Best hope is that a decent independent comes from somewhere who actually has the constituency's interests in mind.

Is Binface more farcical, less competent than Farage? It would be hard to find someone who is...

He's a comedian. They are often sharply observant, intelligent, charismatic, good at public speaking. He'd handle heckles in the HoC very well.

I bet he'd be an infinitely better candidate.

Whatever you think of Farage, and whatever you think of the establishment, he clearly stands against it and has done for years. How can you tell? Because the establishment is doing its best to destroy him and his movement...

The forces that are resulting in him leading in the polls are not going away. I'd personally prefer a democratic restoration to a violent one. "Stopping Farage" is not going to magically make everything okay again.

It depends on whether you think a millionaire who is mates with and reciprocates favours with other extraordinarily wealthy people, and who regularly hangs out with the President of the United States can conceivably be thought of as on the side of the working class or whether he is in fact part of the ruling class himself.

He’s certainly not without power, is he?

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/07/2026 08:28

Binface vs Fuckface.

I love it.😁

No it's not. But Farage is firmly part of the problem.

I see Binface as a Martin Bell tbh.

Yes.

Did I say he was working class?

People conflate being part of the working class with being anti-establishment.

Farage's project is to topple the current established interest that has been in power for at least 30 years and I'd argue maybe since 1945 with some allowance for Thatcher.

If successful this will result in power for himself and his various donors and supporters. It will also result in a different set of ordinary people benefiting or not compared to the situation today. All of which is irrelevant to my point about him clearly being against the current establishment.

Or did you think all the "billionaires" all agree with each other and want to share power?

Given Farridge is never in Clacton doing the job he was elected to, and has mentioned clacton in the HOC a grand total of twice, I don’t think the people of Clacton would notice any difference.

OneAmberFinch · 08/07/2026 08:38

I also love all the faux concern for the people of Clacton, as if everyone on this thread doesn't think they're a bunch of stupid fat pensioners who've been bamboozled by Facebook...

Melarus · 08/07/2026 08:39

If the nation is capable of voting for a £200m flagship research vessel to be called Boaty McBoatface, then surely we can get the Count into office?

He'd have my vote!

He is the establishment. Like Bojo, Trump, Putin, Musk etc, he is interested in one thing only: lining his own pockets. There was some very simple-minded ex-Tory-turned-Reform man on the radio yesterday, saying with bewilderment that the party has no proper structure and could fall apart if Nige goes. Well, duh! How can any adult with half a brain, let alone one already in the political arena, not see that a a clear sign of who Farage really is and where his true priorities lie?

Of course it has no proper structure because Nige didn't set it up to be a reliable and viable political entity. He doesn't give a toss whether it is or not. As long as enough people are blindly faithful enough to think: good old Nige, bucking the system. (By not creating an effective one to replace it? - Oh forgot to consider that).

Everything he does is a means to the end of lining his pockets and getting snug with the powerful, which in itself is just in order to leverage even more opportunities to line his own pockets. He certainly doesn't give a toss about the people of Clacton, the plight of ordinary Brits or anyone else as long as the coffers flow towards his own personal bank accounts.

Literally no one said that. Even if people DID think that, they still deserve a proper MP who can be bothered to turn up and do his job.

Which I actually think binface might do, frankly! Farage hasn’t done so far.

Plus this is so much bigger than one constituency anyway. Farage is trying to make a shambles of our parliamentary system. It’s HIM that thinks the people of clacton are fat pensioners bamboozled by Facebook and he’s mugging them off (and has done since elected), not us.

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/07/2026 08:47

Binface due on BBC Breakfast at 9:15.

Welcome the new Establishment, same as the old Establishment

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 08/07/2026 08:52

I, for one, would much rather be represented by the Count!

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 08/07/2026 08:53

And I love that we live in a country where that is possible.

How are you defining "the establishment" exactly?

Farage is a millionaire, supported by other millionaires. A former banker and ex public school boy. He is part of a privileged elite and has had huge influence over the political direction of the UK over an extended period. In what way do you feel that he is not part of "the establishment".

The people who are eager to destroy him are those who do not share his far right views and/or reject his corrupt way of operating. So are you suggesting that "the establishment" consists of anyone and everyone who dislikes far right extremism and/or corruption in politics?

Please do explain what you mean.

Do you believe that stupid fat pensioners who have been unfortunate enough to have been manipulated by disinformation on social media have no need for a decent, hardworking constituency MP?

It’s pretty clear that’s exactly what Farage thinks they are - otherwise it would not be his stomping ground.

Count Binface is Jon Harvey, an Oxford educated TV comedy writer and author. He has said in previous elections that if elected he would move to the constituency. He'd most likely make an excellent MP.

This. Give the man a chance.
