Vibration plate - what benefits have you noticed?

My Mum has lipodema and wanted a vibration plate so I bought one for her and then one for myself.
I've used it a couple of times so far.
If you have one and you've been using it a while what benefits have you noticed?

Is this just going to be one of those things in the corner gathering dust or are there tangible benefits to it?

Stating the obvious here but all of those exercises are effective at building strength, stability, balance etc. if you just do them normally without buying a vibration plate Grin

I understand your point and appreciate that what works for one person may not be someone else’s approach. However for me, this is an ongoing process to regain strength after illness. I genuinely would have struggled to get this far without using the vibration plate as a starting point.

For me it is a reduction in muscle and joint pain afterwards. It is purely anecdotal, but it definitely works for me. It was recommended by a friend who has fibromyalgia.

I got this one: https://amzn.eu/d/04c0f0aw
although I paid quite a bit more for it!

Sorry can I ask how long you use it for every day? I thought it was just a gimmic but have lost 5 stone and am hoping to lose more so would love anything that helps with loose skin.

I was put off using them by the (potentially flawed) logic that the vibrations from something like a garden strimmer makes my wrists and elbows hurt, so I assumed the vibrations were bad for the joints. (I know road workers who use those compaction vibration machines have issues).

It is slightly more gentle than a pneumatic drills and compactors I should say. It has different levels too 😁

I found some exercises on YouTube that I did on the plate - squats and lunges etc.
I didn’t have any loose skin; I also used bio oil daily so I think that helped a bit too.

Thanks, my under knee pads are painful so it's worth a try, have you seen any difference in ankle cuffs, if you have those?

I dont have ankle cuffs but I did see several ladies comment positively about seeing reductions in their ankle cuffs/ swelling . Im on a reddit group and also a Facebook group

I used to use one and do exercises on it when I had a PT. Can’t see I noticed any benefit.

Vibration plates can be beneficial for autistic children.
