Dismal frankly. We cannot keep relying on Harry Kane to save us. I'll be in bed at the usual time on Sunday.

I will be watching the Mexico game, but I don't hold out much hope. England were poor this evening.

I actually felt sorry for DRCongo they played really well especially their goal keeper and they deserved to win imo.

We haven't got a cat in hells chance of beating Mexico.

I also felt sad for DRC, they fought the game and held it at one goal for most of the match against what should be a much better team.

I thought the DRC goalkeeper and a few of the defence players were fantastic. I hope they get the recognition they deserve.

DH gave up watching it at half time. I'm a real tennis fan (but said he could watch tennis will be on a lot here). At that point he said he'd rather have the tennis on.

Had a visitor later on, and we all agreed that although there are glimpses of hope from one or two others on occasions, Harry Kane is the only prominent and player they have.

We’re rubbish although a lot better when Gordon replaced Rashford.

I really want a country like DR Congo to win. They played really well IMO and I really love an "under dog" to win. A country that perhaps doesn't have all the money in the world to spend on their players but a true love for it.

imo yes. That penalty in Belgium Senegal was given, so why not Kane’s ?!

I thought we were the better team. Not by huge amounts but overall the better side!

We can beat Mexico but we can’t beat France

We were awful, and Harry dug us out of a huge hole yet again. We are far too reliant on him. Before he equalised we looked clueless, weak, unwilling to even try to make anything happen & paralysed by fear.

Many people who don’t watch football outside the major tournaments are saying that these players are rubbish. That is wrong. They play at the very highest level for some of the biggest clubs in the world. The problem is one of attitude & mindset when playing for England and it’s not a new one.

We watched it with football playing teenagers, they look at players how they play and move in a different way. They were loving it, we were trying to keep their expectations balanced.

We now have logistics to watch a 1am game with school and work later that morning which will be memorable - England have given us another 90+ minutes to watch, perhaps the last 90+ minutes so will enjoy the ride until it stops.

Not convinced TBH.....one POV is Kane left his right foot in/down as the defender challenged, effectively looking for that contact, any contact, from the keeper came in...

Probably just as well that decision wasn't critical to the result because if it had been we'd be talking about it for years

Loved listening to Shearer lambasting them at half time. They were abysmal and would be entirely fucked without Harry Kane. It’s a shame the whole team falls apart without one player. Rashford was also dreadful, I don’t know why Saka isn’t starting more.
