Prime Day: Any good deals this year?

RayaMumsnet · 23/06/2026 10:09

It’s Prime Day (again!) and, while I love a good deal as much as anyone else, I’m all about finding bargains on things that are genuinely useful and built to last.

Have you spotted anything worth sharing in this year’s Prime Day sale? Add your finds to the thread below.

Here are a few deals I’m eyeing up:

28% off Duux Whisper Flex 2 Smart Fan - was £180, now £130 (lowest price ever according to CamelCamelCamel). Mumsnet's Home Editor, Poppy tested this fan last summer and was really impressed by how quiet it was.

24% off JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan - was £34, now £26. I’m thinking this might be the answer to commuting in the heatwave? Read the review.

49% off Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream was £28 now £14. There have been threads about this cult classic on Mumsnet for years, and at almost 50% off I’m tempted to give it a try.

Take a look at our round-up of top finds in the Prime day sale for more deals from MNHQ.

Have you spotted anything worth adding to your basket? Share it with your fellow MNners below.

Beauty deals:
COLOR WOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray 36% off plus lots of other products in the range also discounted
58% off LAURA GELLER NEW YORK Award-Winning Baked Balance-n-Brighten Colour Correcting Powder Foundation
39% off Clinique Almost lipstick plus more deals on other Clinique faves

Ways to survive the heatwave:
20% off Levoit 20dB Quiet Smart Pedestal Fans
15% off COSRX Ultra-Light Invisible Sunscreen
23% off Jisulife Table Fan Pro3

More deals we’ve spotted:
29% Kindle Paperwhite Raspberry
31% Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, you can read our review here
48% off Echodot (Newest gen)

Prices are correct at the time of writing. This post contains affiliate links, which means Mumsnet earns a small commission if you buy something through them. See our terms of use for more info.

Thanks for the snark, I do so enjoy that 🙄

The point really is that the echo is currently doing better price wise than many Bluetooth speakers.

So the fact that I can't remember the other stuff may be irrelevant

Really it's a question of separating out what's done by Alexa & what's done by the echo

I use Alexa everyday. For setting alarms, timers, turning a radio station on, turning lights on, asking about weather, reminders etc.

Also, have Amazon dots in other rooms and they function in similar manner. There might be more functionality but that’s what I use them for.

I’m loving that this thread has appeared next on my feed to the thread about climate change and how we’re all killing the planet!!! All this tat flown in from China…the two extremes of Mumsnet!

People are not talking about tat here in the main. It's been kindles, speakers, beauty products and kids snacks.

Not everything from Amazon is bad!

TheBlueKoala · 25/06/2026 05:27

I don't buy anything I haven't already planned to buy. It's not a bargain if I don't need it

I bought a new kindle, only because my old one which tbf I’d had for 12 years, is no longer being supported by Amazon and no longer downloads books. I like one for my summer holiday though so at least I got it for the Prime day price, though it cost slightly more to get the ad free version. Don’t recall that being a thing before either!

It's more likely to by container ship!

I havnt a clue about the environmental damage caused by aviation fuel versus container ship fuel….i imagine both as damaging! Maybe they both churn out zillions of tons of CO2 and that’s why people are buying cheap plastic fans from china!

Laura gellar powder foundation for 12.99, love this stuff, such a good price and then loreal moisturiser for around 12 instead of 30, otherwise trying not to buy anything else lol

I have changed from Clinique makeup this year to Laura Geller, love it. Just bought another icons palette in a different shade which includes foundation x 2, blusher, bronzer, highlighter and eyeshadow as brilliant for holidays. It cost £35 with susbscribe and save on Amazon and is currently on discount at over £50 on the LG website. Also bought a set of 10 LG make up brushes for £33, a real bargain compared to buying them individually and best brushes I have used.

I bought a Keter rosewood bench reduced to £99, have been meaning to buy one for a while but never got around to it.

RayaMumsnet · 25/06/2026 11:25

I mean Mumsnet earn money everytime you click on one of the links on their posts so I’d suggest that was the purpose of the thread!!

I find that often the prices are no different to a few months back and it tends to be the same things on offer.

username2373 · 25/06/2026 11:38

I need a doorbell. May be it’s time to try one with a camera.
Anyone who has Ring or alternative - would you recommend and do you need to have a monthly subscription (how much)?

Hi @BeardySchnauzer, yes like many sites, Mumsnet uses affiliate links and may receive a small commission if someone buys something after clicking through. It doesn’t cost users anything extra, and it helps keep the site free to use. I put a note in the OP for transparency, and there’s more detail in our terms of use.

Yes I was wondering more about where you are collating the other posters suggestions. Not fully au fait with how these things work

Londonrach1 · 25/06/2026 16:56

I don't have prime. Anywhere there's a few things I need but as it's so tightly linked to prime you can't order anything without them trying to sign you up or you cant even put things in your basket if not a prime member I've got the items from argos and the supermarkets and found their cheaper than Amazon prime deals. Eg portable fan for 7.99 which is 10.99 on Amazon...same model..

AClassicTrenchcoat · 25/06/2026 17:40

Is the Stacey Solomon or her sister, they love Amazon links.

AClassicTrenchcoat · 25/06/2026 17:42

Didn’t realise it was Mumsnet. Is there anybody not flogging Amazon anymore?!

no. who else will enrich Bezos then? How will we shut our high streets so that we can complain our towns are going downhill?

there is def a case for online shopping but many of us over do it and its killing the planet, jobs, and high streeta

BeardySchnauzer · 26/06/2026 12:31

My fil was complaining about all these shops that have gone out of business (Woolworths for example) - I asked him when he last went shopping on the high street and he said ‘well it’s cheaper online’ - so don’t complain when the shops all shut down then!

😂😂😂
I’ve tried to avoid Amazon as much as possible as the years go on, so much unnecessary shite doing the rounds. The deals are often there, not just during these Prime events, the prices of things regularly shoot up and then come back down again. If you needed something at the time the deal is on then it’s great (although not always the best price if you shop around, which these days just entails a few clicks) but if you’re scrolling looking for things to buy then you’re likely just amassing ‘stuff’, possibly for the sake of it.

And yet so many people can't see the connection between shuttered shops, & their choice to buy snacks, stationery & shower gel in bulk from Bezos's Big Bargain Basement - that shitty shop in the sky ...

I shop online lots (but primarily secondhand & vintage - clothing mostly, but also homewares etc). But I'm also lucky to live somewhere where there's a small but flourishing suburban high street. It succeeds because people choose to buy their fish, meat, newspapers, art supplies, fresh flowers etc here, not always online (or from big supermarkets). Some of it is dearer, some of it is cheaper. But I feel that I owe a degree of loyalty to my local high street & the community services it offers. Thankfully others do too.

Perhaps check your privilege. I’ve been made redundant and so can’t afford to shop the local high street. I’ve stocked up on stuff for the kids for the six week summer holiday that I usually buy in my food shop but offered a considerable saving.
