Fuck all

Boudy · 21/06/2026 17:29

Children playing happily in each others gardens and on the street.( no screaming)
Birds chirping madly.

SaraHoliday · 21/06/2026 17:30

Occasional car and jogger. That's it.

Nugg · 21/06/2026 17:30

Nothing I live in a quiet cul de sac.

BillieWiper · 21/06/2026 17:31

What an odd thread. 'Nothing really'.

Fascinating.

A circus clown is having an MMA fight with Kim Kardashian and the referee is Elvis Presley.

I always knew Elvis is still alive. 😂

So no one could go out and say pack it in while elderly couple are being threatened. How do you know how long the police would take to respond? You've seen the duty rostas and know how many calls they are dealing with?

No, but I know how many officers are on patrol in the city at any given time, and how long it normally takes them to respond to non-emergency calls.

Besides, the couple were stood on a third floor balcony with a security door and their own front door between them and the aggressor, who appeared to be in the process of leaving in any case

There were a few shouts of "STFU" and suchlike, which was irritating because it just made it more difficult to ascertain the juicy details. As far as I could make out, it was a jilted lover angry at the elderly couple's (parents of the Ex) role in whatever illicit activity their daughter had been up to. It was Pride yesterday, a notorious hook-up-fest and shagathon, so it tracks.

oncemoreuntothebeachdearfriends · 21/06/2026 17:39

I'm in the garden and the only sounds were DH grunting, me moaning and birds singing.
Well, it was a lovely dream.

So the physical threats weren't real then.

I'm amazed you know how many officers are patrolling the city at any given time. Worked in police admin for years and it would be difficult to do that on a division let alone the city. Do tell how you work that out.

corblimeygvnr · 21/06/2026 17:40

Children outside screaming their heads off , shouting and crying . 😬

Well only the perp knows that for sure. They didn't sound like they were joking when they assured the target they were going to "kick their cnts in", that they were "fcking dead", and that their "laddie was going to come aroond and kick fck oot of ye"

Do tell how you work that out

We've had a chat about which bins to put out and what's for tea/supper (lovely mixed community) and I said how cross I am with dh telling me to water plants whilst I was in the middle of washing his pee stained downstairs bog.
Lovely long Sunday ....

JLou08 · 21/06/2026 17:49

Absolutely nothing. There are only 4 houses on my street so it's usually uneventful. Nice change from my last house which was just off a main road and in-between a park and the town centre.

Serenwib · 21/06/2026 17:56

Outside my house the sheep are bleating in the field. The house martins that are nesting in the shed roof are flying back and forth catching insects. There's a blackbird singing at the top of the apple tree.

Livingthebestlife · 21/06/2026 18:15

There's lots of kids screaming, one is on his bike with a siren attached cycling up and down the road screaming at the top of his lungs, there's another following him although he has no siren which is a bonus but he does have a higher pitched scream, I've lost count of how long this has been going on but I did go out earlier as I thought someone was being murdered.

There's a group of families gathered 2 doors up drinking vodka straight from the bottles and I think they are hearing impaired as they are shouting while they speak, although it could be because the music they're blasting from their cars is making it difficult to hear.

There's a few power washers going, I'm not really into that hobby, I don't like washing every inch of my house and garden, I did wash my windows but should have not bothered because there's lots of mucky splashes on them now from the power washers.

I tried sitting out the back but the smell of BBQ is making me heave, sort of a mix of dead bodies and dirty grease.

Oh dear that made me laugh. Your bestie knows how many are out at any given time? Well there are a set number on the unit but there might be holidays, sickness, officers in the station following an arrest and your bestie knows how many are out 24/7 for the whole city? Doesn't sound very likely does it

Inthezone5578 · 21/06/2026 18:18

Park life at Heaton park. Never seen more bum cheeks in my life. They're all safely inside the park now and looks like it's about to rain. Area is cluttered with noise from the park and glass bottles and drug bags lying around. It's normally a naice area. Ah well. Just a normal summer for the residents.

Not only all that but they notify you about how many are out? I forgot some will be on meal breaks. Honestly numbers on patrol can change minute by minute

Elieza · 21/06/2026 18:23

out back next door kid shouting “no” “NOOO” and his mum saying “you were told not to go in the shed, stay out of there”

out front a kid on a retro manual scooter 🛴 scooting past. birdsong. very quiet.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 21/06/2026 18:23

Nothing. I can hear the cars on the main road and very faintly music playing somewhere, but no people in the street. There's a blackbird singing.

Purplecatshopaholic · 21/06/2026 18:32

Cats relaxing in the sun. Neighbours walking their dogs. A bit of chat at a distance from neighbours in their gardens. Lovely and peaceful.

Electricsausages · 21/06/2026 18:35

dont know at home ( in a tent atm) I can hear a barking mutt and someone bashing in windbreake poles

Anjo2011 · 21/06/2026 18:38

Sitting in the garden, the shouty house are having a shouting match. This family shout at each other all the time. The youngest child must be about 7, she is having the mother of all meltdowns. I have just heard a neighbour go and ask if everything is ok.

EllaPaella · 21/06/2026 18:40

Well there’s us in the garden cooking tea with our new ninja bbq, youngest DS is playing football while we chat. A few neighbours are in their gardens we can hear chatting a few kids playing. That’s about it.

mondaytosunday · 21/06/2026 18:41

Gosh nothing. I expect as it’s a very family oriented area they are inside making their kids dinner (or they are eating it). Or like me inside watching the football.
