What do you think to this ban on social media for children? Doesn't sound workable to me

Plus it seems like all it does is let's off big tech companies having actual responsibilities

Tbh it may well be workable. I’ve had to verify my age recently over various apps. Most okay because my accounts are so old but have also had to submit a photo of my valid passport and also let them take pictures of my face to estimate my age. So if that’s the tack they’re going for, the kids would have to rely on adult made accounts with adult dates of birth and submitting photos of their face. DD will be 15 next spring. I won’t be doing that but I figure that there will be many who do.
I don’t think there will be many adults that ready to give up their social media PP. And “big tech” won’t be remotely interested in shutting down social media. Seriously, how do you think they make their money?! That’s very naive. Might as well ask for NASA insider info.

you dont use conventional wisdom when neogating with big tech, you bring onside gchq, the nsa, etc use all resources its a whole different ball game.

I'm grand with it. Is it perfect? No. But then nothing is perfect. It's a tool that will help most parents and children. The only people pissed off about it are tech bros and paedophiles.

I'm delighted.👏👏🎯
