Wealthy banker with connections to royalty is arrested in hunt for notorious 'Putney Pusher' | Daily Mail Online

I vividly remember this case which still haunts me and cannot believe it was ten years ago. Finally someone has been arrested who appears to be an ex army wealthy man.

I hope he is charged - so arrogant.

He is a psychopath and a woman hater. Two similar incidents. Entitled and dangerous

MidnightPatrol · 16/06/2026 08:14

Haha, I thought similar.

’wealthy banker’ by the Daily Mail’s standards probably means ‘is an accountant’.

No he’s very high up in a private bank.

Does anyone have a link to a video of The Hyde Park incident? I can find the story but can’t access it and based on the comments here, it was clearly a big incident.

I'm so glad an arrest has been made. They must have had some pretty reliable info come through to arrest someone this long after. Whether it was the guy whose name is being circulated or not, I just hope they do get the right guy, because what he did was completely and utterly evil. What a total psychopath. That video...never seen anything like it.

Although I know there have been other such instances. What is wrong with our society? I mean, people in the 1950s didn't go round doing these sorts of things, did they? But back then, there weren't violent films and such. I do think that the existence of so much grim material in our culture, including social media, has very much had a darkening effect on society. It must have been lovely back then - no violent films, no porn, no violent video games, no social media, everyone much more innocent.

You have a very rose-tinted view of the 1950s, a time when the Kray gang was flourishing along with a number of similar operations. You really can't get much more violent than them.

It really wasn’t tbh. Careless driving and not stopping. No one was hurt.

typical narc though represented himself and banged on about his tours of iran in court.

Yep- and in the 50s men beat the shit out of their wives and children and people turned a blind eye

A quick google basically tells you who they alleged it to be. If it is him, he is a member of the aristocracy.

If true, we deserve to know if it was a cover up.

It must have been cover up - I do not believe they weren’t able to trace him back to his home etc with all that insane number of CCTV cameras in London.

If he's found guilty of course he'll go to prison. The scrote who attacked a police officer with a sledgehammer while smashing up an arms factory is now serving several years for GBH. He had an Oxford degree and a middle class background. I'm pleased to say it made no difference. It should make a difference in the opposite direction. If you have a great start in life and still turn to crime and violence you should face a worse penalty.

Brilliant. I haven't heard scrote in years. A perfect application.

CypressGrove · 16/06/2026 09:15

I hope they have the right person and he does some serious time. The attack was appalling and she was so lucky not to be killed by the bus.

concretepiles · 16/06/2026 09:18

Waiting to see if this prompts similar incidents to be reported.

If it’s the name on Reddit and X, he’s definitely not high up although may have high profile clients.

Wreckinball · 16/06/2026 00:28

If he’s like that with strangers, imagine what he may be like with those close to him? They could have been terrified and waited until they’ve safely distanced themselves from him before speaking out

I think you've hit the nail on the head.

Agree. He really doesn’t seem that senior.

His job title is director at a famous bank, so he can't be that low on the totem pole either.

justasking111 · 16/06/2026 09:41

Off topic but I'm now nervous about station platforms after reading of people being pushed under trains and the perpetrator melting into the crowd. Irrational I know.

It's confusing, but Director is just a seniority level within banking - there are two above it (Exec Director and Managing Director) and there are loads of each of them. So even in the team he's in there's likely at least a couple of ED's and one MD above him. People would typically expect to make ED around 35-40 and MD around 40-45 (not everyone makes MD) so if anything he's a little behind the curve.

It doesnt mean that he is in charge of UHNW at HSBC private bank

I sometimes worry about this- I just stay back from the yellow line though, people can only push so far

Lalgarh · 16/06/2026 09:55

I bet he does Parkrun

He appears to have had a second divorce (or the second one is coming soon) and is co-parenting. That’s his divorce pad.

Ahh, how do we know all of this?

Would explain why he's suddenly been grassed up new evidence has come to light.

Hopefully the ex wives are living in luxury at his expense. Although now he may soon start living in luxury at the tax payers expense.. still not a bad thing if it proves to be the case that the person suggested is the sociopath misogynistic pusher.

I bet he wears Haviana flipflops on his breaks to Ibiza / Dubai

This case reminds of the lady who put a cat in the bin. Just walking past the cat then picks it up and drops it in the bin. Although I don't know the sex of the cat nor do I know if she had walked past another cat of a different sex and not dropped it into a nearby bin. Nonetheless, a similar case in some respects.

The person being interviewed did a recent trade mag interview about his work practices. Comes up if you google his name. His employer have been flexible around his family life as a co-parenting single dad.

Funnily that story was resurrected recently.

Surely the pusher wouldn't have done such an interview. You'd have to be a special kind of stupid. Or maybe supremely arrogant. The latter does fit a lot of men people.

Lalgarh · 16/06/2026 10:09

Did someone on here mention the unlikely possibility of the pusher having had Strava to track his runs?

I've just checked my Google maps timeline and there's locations showing for me back to 2015.

I saw a theory posted that maybe the name has popped up in relation to the cache of emails released re: Epstein/ mandelson but maybe that's a bit too far fetched.

I think it might be AI facial recognition that's turned something up as mentioned upthread by somebody already
