They didn't reach us this morning but I could hear the rumbling in the distance.

What a difference a few miles make!

30 degrees here. There are a few clouds on the horizon now though, so maybe we will have some thunder. Last night was horrible, really hard to sleep.

MN seems angrier than usual. Must be the heat fraying tempers.

The thread about Kenyon is interesting. So much whataboutery. It's almost like it doesn't matter that Reform are misogynists. Funny that.

BIossomtoes · 27/05/2026 17:13

The Reform apologists aren’t doing a great job. I’m wondering if the copy and paste queen has changed her voting habits.

TemperanceWest · 27/05/2026 17:25

There has been a real upsurge in ableism, racism and excusing of misogyny recently. But Burnham isn't nasty enough about trans women, so is worse than any of that.

DuncinToffee · 27/05/2026 17:29

Still around 30c here, slight breeze but not enough to cool you down.

So many 'I don't vote Reform but don't you dare say anything negative about them'

Makerfield's Kenyon is now being attacked by the DT for being a Brexit betrayer (he voted remain) Confused

How do we know he voted Remain? The DT is so poor these days.

His SM posts at the time.

Never mind his posts about women, his fascist FB friend, his posts on Southport, Covid anti vac banter, he is a remoaner.

A close-up of Kirsten Coutts with her arm around her son, Sam. She has long black hair and he has short brown hair, both have the same coloured hazel eyes. They are smiling at the camera.

Anti-bullying cuts linked to 'shocking' rise in school exclusions

Education experts and charities are calling for a national anti-bullying strategy in schools.

I've definitely noticed the misogyny and a rise in homo and trans phobia.

Well if we assume (at face value) that these posters are mothers, then it's hardly a case for Poirot.

I meant in schools but, yeah, agree.

Well yes he posted this when the EU Referendum result was in: “nationalistic pish” and “shot our economy in the foot". But he denies voting Remain.

He's also proud to be a sexist, misogynistic piece of.... that's enough!

Piggywaspushed · 27/05/2026 18:37

In a somewhat more heartwarming story, Durham's Reform council cut all funding to Durham Pride so that it would have to cancel. The Trades Unions were not having it so led fundraisers and now Durham Pride will go ahead. With even more funding. Solidarity, comrades.

They could all be 'hairy handed, frock wearers' for all we know. Which would upset the sunshine haters, the noisy neighbours haters, the net zero haters

Oh Danny Boy, Danny Boy, Danny Boy!

God, he really does look like his own Spitting Image puppet in that pic!

"Tony Blair why I have always been right about everything " gave me a wry smile @BIossomtoes , thanks.

He really is an arrogant person.

That article made me smile throughout. I wish I knew John Crace, I’d love to have dinner with him although I suspect he’d find me very dull.
