There’s a lot more to be said. Many questions to be answered. This shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet. All of you on here are good people. I just don’t understand.

Go and talk to posters who do understand then. I’ve talked about it all day. I’ve had enough.

DuncinToffee · 09/06/2026 20:11

You want more of this @derxa ?

Tommy Robinson and allies have attenpted to call 96 simultaneous mass protests tonight, apparently by googling and listing possible meeting places

There are particular concerms about disorder in Belfast & Northern Ireland after a serious crime, attempted murder, last night.

No I don’t. Let’s have an honest discussion about the whole thing.

TemperanceWest · 09/06/2026 20:14

If you care so much about the case @derxa why haven't you been posting about it, given that seems to be the yardstick you are measuring the rest of us against.

There is no discussion to be had at this moment of time, not during a live investigation.

Just go and find one of the other threads.

Well then, say more. The floor is yours...

There's nothing to understand. We are choosing not to indulge in speculation, because speculation is unhelpful. That doesn't mean we don't care. I don't understand why you think we should be joining in the chorus that's aready in place all over this site.

TemperanceWest · 09/06/2026 20:31

Perhaps some people think you have to set fire to bins and buses to demonstrate you care.

Not much sympathy for the poor stabbed man on here.

Sorry @derxa I've been more concerned about my friends daughter today. Barely out of her teens and attacked because of her clothing.

Of course it's upsetting that a man was stabbed. Why the big fuss over this stabbing though compared to the many others that happen.

Thank you for your kind words about my friends daughter though. Oh wait.

Reform Jersey is a left-wing party.

But a person of your undoubted intellect and keenness of mind, so often displayed on these threads, would know that.

The 18 year old, Raimundo, was congratulated by Trump but he was quick to say that he isn't a fan of Trump

Oh do give it a rest FFS. You only ever come onto this thread when you want to have a go at us about something. But it's quite distasteful to use such a horrific event to try and get one up on us.

You're very welcome on this thread but not when you're doing your 'high and mighty' bullshit. There are other threads available for that.

"I am incredibly proud of all of Reform Jersey's achievements in that time, including expanding free child care to two-three year olds, consistently making primary healthcare more affordable for more groups of islanders and establishing a first time buyer," he said in a Facebook post.
"My strongest legacy will be the new Residential Tenancy Law, which will continue to protect the tenants I've fought so far for from revenge evictions and unjustifiable rent hikes for years to come."

Reform Jersey is like parallel universe Reform. Fascinating.

Vote Sam Mézec for Senator on 7th June

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for, but I am immensely grateful to everyone who voted for me and supported me in my time as a States Member over the years. I am incredibly proud of all of...

@derxa
Let’s have an honest discussion

What do you want us to discuss? It was a truly horrific attack. What more is there to say? None of know the reality of what happened and I'm not about to start speculating.

And, more importantly, how dare you say "Not much sympathy for the poor stabbed man on here."

You have no idea at all what any of us is thinking or feeling. Do you want to see some performative weeping and wailing? A bit like your earlier post "I can’t stop thinking about him"?

Advanced Search shows that you haven't posted anywhere else today about the events in Belfast, so why are you here to berate us?

placemats · 09/06/2026 22:15

derxa · 09/06/2026 19:47

I can’t stop thinking about him. Genuinely.

Respectfully, can you not shit here? I can't imagine trying to recover from such a horrific attack knowing that it was filmed and used for nefarious propaganda.

As usual, people in east Belfast are shitting on their own 'territory'. It must be awful to live there.

I lived off Botanic Avenue when I spent a year working in Belfast. Loved it and shared a house with professionals. One love was the Rugby and definitely team Ireland.

MsJinks · 09/06/2026 22:18

Just in from counter to the protests today re the terrible NI event.

Strangely I heard nothing, not one mention, of it - they obviously forgot why they were there. They thought it was to save women I think - then shouted over our reading of women killed domestically in the U.K. - it penetrated eventually this was not a good look.

Anyway chased the fash out today - and will keep on getting them out of my city.

PickAChew · 09/06/2026 22:29

The pictures of the violent, destructive twattery in Belfast are horrific. Bloody thugs.

DuncinToffee · 09/06/2026 22:31

@derxa Maybe have a look at the Trump thread and read the post of toobigformyboots

Nothing will give Burnham a mandate for that. He’s a child wanting the nice toy because someone else has it. He’s let others do the hard work and now wants to rush in and ‘save’ them. I’ve no time for him or his ego I’m afraid.

I can’t say I like what’s happening. I'd personally rather Starmer stayed as leader, as I do like him. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen and I'd rather Burnham succeeded than see the Labour government collapse.

It's an absolutely horrible thing to have happened. But I agree with @DuncinToffee that we need to let the police get on with their job of investigating.

The only thing likely to make it collapse is Burnham and his shit stirrers. It’s unforgivable. My worry is that he’s arrogant enough to call a GE and let Reform straight in.
